The sites not been optimised for IE9 by the looks of it.

I'm on Firefox and there are no issues here.

I'm on Firefox but finding the site really slow - freezes up the whole laptop until the banners have loaded.

Same here. Firefox with Vista. It does appear to be the banner loading that's the problem.

And you can't just go elsewhere while it's loading - it freezes up all my other open windows too.

Old computers / browsers are not optimised (and often dont support) the new web standards.

Upgrade browsers to the latest versions ( If your using I.E swap to chrome or safari)

If your on xp consider updating your computer

Don't know what's changed, but I'm using Firefox 11.0 and I've also noticed that MSE Forums being very sluggish to browse recently. All other sites are fine, just this one feels bogged down.

Although my computer isn't old, I don't see why people should splash out on a new computer to browse a money saving forum. A bit ironic, no?

    Me too.

    Windows7 and Firefox 11.0.

For the last two days it has taken 15 to 20 seconds or so to load MSE and it freezes my laptop until it loads.

It was OK this morning and back to normal for me.
