Moggins still thinking of you, I understand you won't have time etc to post all the time, just wanted you to know.

Sunday - Well it's the day of rest for many, make sure dailies are done and nighttime routines, especially those with children who need to have uniforms, school bags etc sorted. I'll start the new weeks post tomorrow evening.

I must remember to do DSs jelly, I forgot on Thursday/Friday and ended up putting one in the freezer 'quick set' on the morning and just praying it was done, which it was, phew! :o Have had to rewash the school coats again as someone had a tissue and I forgot to check pockets, just got to hope they are dry on time.
One day I might be more organised...........

Well here I am back again.. I miss all the events and not-so-fun.. but wow what a weekend!!

Moggins my precious.. there is always room at the inn should you fancy a trip up here!!! You could be 'homeless' for 6 months just travelling round each of us and sling in holidays to Holland (there is a ferry from here!) and another to New Zealand!

Lil_me... have fun in your new (hopefully temporary.. however much we love you, you are just not the Queen of Moggs!) position of power.. does this mean you get the whip, cattle prod and steelies??

    My tale..

We set off at 6:15pm instead of 5ish because my stepdad took my mothers car keys when he went collecting (he is a window cleaner) it is a 2/2.5 hour drive from here to Coventry. Shouldn't have taken that long to get there as DH sent me there on Thursday! lol.. So we get lost in driving rain.. 2 HOURS later we find the hotel which has only decided to change their name so we were looking for the 'wrong' name.. right hotel though!.. 10:30pm we got there!!!! By the time we had complained they had put us in a double room not a twin room, then rang everyone to tell them we had arrived safely got some drinks sent them back because they were cold got some more and had some food it was midnight!

I get in my jims.. my mother sits up half the night watching really old star trek movies.. I went to sleep regardless. I was up at 7.. she was up at half 8... I then remember I haven't bought DS3 his birthday present.. and I just realise we were right near pcworld so I could have got it yesterday.. duh!! Stupid me!!

The woman who we are collecting the dog from is driving from out of town in the oposite direction and has to detour for a flooded road.. so they are late. My mother realised she had forgotten to bring a lead or anything for the dog.. so we had to go buy a blanket from Dunelm.. next to PCworld.. ggrrrr.

We eventually get the call to go pick her up.. we only got lost a 10 minute extra journey, not the 2 hours of the night before!! We found the house, spent 2.5 hours talking dog, we hugged and cried upon by the dogs old mum.. it must be hard to give a dog up even when you have 13!!

My mother has a friend in Coventry who she was not going to see but she felt really guilty so she had to go see her, even if it was 'just for half an hour' .. we pulled up, the cap on the radiator expansion chamber blew itself apart spewing scalding hot water everywhere (it works like a pressure cooker apparently!) SO.. we ended up staying there 4 hours while we called every car part place, scrapyard and car dealer in the city looking for a new one.. which was not easy as Coventry were playing Hull City and all the scrappies are near the stadium so closed at lunch time!!!

So we set off.. as the game finished.. and drove home with the fans!! (Coventry 2: Hull City 0) ... hey.. at least it wasn't raining!!

I hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast and was starving.. but I was so starving I couldn't eat anything.. hence me being up at this God Forsaken hour eating raw carrot and swilling a cuppa!!! I have also got a really upset stomach due to the travelling and lack of proper food.

To make matters worse.. 6 miles out of town the motorway was closed so we had a 20 miles detour through all the little satellite villages which added another 45 minutes on the journey!!.. not so good when you are desperate for a wee!!

In the morning DH is taking the little people off to church and I have to go get DS3's birthday present (he is 8) AND go to tesco for his 'party'!!.. and.. be back home by 12:30pm!!

    Can it be done????

I left DH with 2 tasks.. empty the dry washing out of the dryer.. it was still there.. and tidy the back room as we are having guests.. it is a BIN!!!!!!! I swear it is worse then before I left!!

    My Sunday tasks are...

[STRIKE]WM[/STRIKE] .. the basket were empty when I left are are both overflowing now!
    [STRIKE]TD[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]DW
    BM[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]fold and put away dry stuff[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]sweep[/STRIKE] and mop kitchen floor.
tidy back room (delegate to DH and children)
[STRIKE]Tesco trip[/STRIKE].. stick to shopping list. (got a lift with pet plumber! ;) )
    [STRIKE]PC world[/STRIKE].. for 1 item!!
    [STRIKE]Uniforms for Monday[/STRIKE]
go to bed at a sensible time and SLEEP!!!

Hi Pigpen. Just thinking about what to have for dinner. We went for a drive this morning and ended up having a pub lunch, so not too hungry right now.

Two oldest boys came home yesterday, and went again this morning . . . so I can now safely get stuck into their rooms over the next week.

Have done two loads of laundry and vacuumed living areas today. That is all :) but once again it feels much more than that.

Have our bed to remake yet.

Oh, it was more! I baked some muffins as soon as I got up this morning for the boys to take back with them!

aaah poor pigpen - try some ginger - tea or even a biscuit - helps with nausea. peppermint's good for digestion too :)

that depends on why the tummy is poorly

if it's from  you can make a drink of warm water with a dash of cinnamon and a slice of ginger. (don't eat the ginger, just soak it in the water for a bit)

    morning all,

I have not been around much this last couple of days, have recently returned to w**k and boy does it take some getting used to!

Moggins sorry to hear about your situation I hope things improve soon and you see that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Pigpen you should write a book about your life, it would be a best seller! :D Not sure when you'd have time to write it!

Not much flying done here recently so I hang my head in shame and today I have to try and install a wireless router (the disc would not run properly so I have a load of other stuff to try :( ) . We are hoping to move DD and DS round bedroom wise, the pc is where DD will go (and needs decorting before she moves), DS is going where DD is and the pc is going where DS is. Make sense??? if it does please let explain it to me!

Well I had better go and make a start on this tip, wish me luck
