OP: Hope you don't mind me saying, but that is chronic habitual alcohol abuse. Has it occurred to you that your OH may actually be an alcoholic? If he is:
You said "I hope I can turn this around" - you can't -only he can, possibly, with a massive amount of effort on his part - not yours.
You said " (you) "just don't agree with the drinking habits". A habit is not the same as an addiction.
You said "although not sure where I go wrong". You aren't going wrong. Your OH is a drinking a massive amount of alcohol. The only way for him is down, if he continues that way.
Please try not to take responsibility for his drinking, like it's a project you are taking on. He has to realise the horrendous damage he is doing to himself and his family - not to mention the inevitable run-ins with the law that are bound to happen eventually - eg driving over the limit. He has to realise, to want to stop and to decide to stop. He might need medical advice when he is drinking that much, to be honest. Good luck.0
