I love the innocence of youth.
I'd change the 'innocence' for 'arrogance' in this instance.
The OP can probably get himself a loan, but it is sensible in this instance? Almost definitely not.
5 years to pay off 1 year's insurance? Pay day loans already. Overdrafts. Getting his father to 'front' his insurance. Spells disaster to me. Still, the young learn by these mistakes. Or some do anyway.
Maybe his father should be stepping in and giving advice. Possibly charging him rent too so he can learn, hopefully, to live within his means.0

Look at the end if the day it isn't arrogance, I'm doing something in my life I want to so why have such a negative view towards it? I've had payday loans I've ha all sorts but this will be my only monthly outgoing with sky orange buss pass etc so I'll be putting £500 away each month £405 for bills and £95 just saving up, as well with what left with the loan I'll he laughing because when my policy's due again I'll pay it out right with money I've saved also I'll have less outgoings with contracts ending etc so more will be saved don't just think because I'm young I crave to get stuff I've sat and worked my outgoings and a lot of things out.Total amount of debt - £3540
 Overdraft - £1540
 Credit Card - £2000
 Amount Payed - £100
 Amount Left - £34400

I'm quite impressed that in 24 hours you went from talking about loans to having applied , got instant acceptance, got the forms sent through and "signed for it".0

Josh, if i am honest, i salute you for what you've done, it's not exactly your putting the money to bad use, your using for something constructive and productive.
 Best of luck!0

            £7.500 - 60 months, £9024 ... £150.
 I can't get what?
Well, if true, you've just taken the first step on the 'living in debt' journey. The bank dangled their carrot and you went chasing it.
I made the same mistakes as you, and as you'll see from my signature I am over five figures in debt and I regret every second of it.
Debt should never be used for luxuries - holidays, £3k cars... If you still have the chance, I'd say downsize your expectations, save up for a while, and buy a cheaper car. Somehow though, I'm not sure you'll listen to my advice.0

Josh have you considered a maintenance budget? What about if turbo/cambelt/dmf fails? These are all repairable but around £1000.0

At the end of the day its your money so what you do is up to you, if you get the loan then good for you but if not then its not end of the world.0
