Hi All,
Does anybody have any ideas for breakfast? I'm following EE and struggling a bit - I'm not a fan of mushrooms or "big" tomatoes so breakfast of egg/potatoes misses out a "superfree" - I might have to try and get some cherry tomatoes and see if they cook okay!
Would a "breakfast" fritatta work? Thinking that that might be something I could do one morning and have half one day, half the next type thing...
I had cereal this morning with 1% milk, and have some milk for tea for the day...
Will have to put myself a list together for shopping later I think.Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

same for me actually. I think portion size is a problem for me, and also before i started SW i was terrible for finishing a meal and going back for more instead of waiting for 20 minutes to see if i was still hungry. More often than not i am not as my meal has filled me up.
You and I are definitely cut from the same cloth! I was a long time calories girl too but wow what a relief not to have to think about counting everything I put in my mouth - I don't miss counting calories at all. Think of this as a positive thing!poohbear59 wrote: »I am not offended at all. I needed a bit of a kick to make me see where I was going wrong.:D ATM I am not driving and living in the back of beyond is making me very short on fresh fruit. In fact I have none left!! When I planned a supermarket delivery a friend offered to take me shopping but that has now fallen through and here I am with half a cabbage, an onion, some potatoes,[STRIKE]an orange[/STRIKE], and three peppers. I have lots of frozen vegetables but no fruit!
Last night I even persuaded DH not to make me my usual hot choccie as it is laiden with syns.
Today's dinner plan was veggie sausages, mash and lots of veggies but I don't have any veggie sausages so I am going to have to have a rethink.
I also didn't know about the peas!! Friday's dinner was going to be SW chips, eggs and lots of peas. Will sweetcorn or runner beans be okay instead of peas? We have lots of eggs ATM as the hens are very productive.
OK green beans, peppers, tinned tomatoes, onions and cabbage - you can make a great veggie stew with this and if you grill that tuna steak you can serve this over it with either a jacket potato or SW chips - voila you have dinner! And you'll have enough of the stew for another meal.
I think you should try and stock up your freezer with lots of frozen veggies, they are going to be your saviour. Make a list of tinned items such as tomatoes, tuna, baked beans and stock up on these when you do a big shop.
I'm not a big fruit lover but I keep frozen berries in the freezer and mix them in with yoghurt. I don't mind fruit salad so if I have an apple, pear, kiwi and some melon I'll chop them all up together.
Happy planning!Mediterranean Mum

I am the frittata queen! That's what I have every morning for breakfast and love it - I use different combinations of veggie - usually from whatever is left over from dinner the night before, or frozen. I always put onion in as I love it, use two eggs and 45g of grated mozzarella cheese. I'm not a cereal person so if I don't have my frittata I'm really stuck with what to have.Mediterranean Mum

For anyone struggling to get a 1/3 rd superfree like i used to.. Blackberry Rum had a great idea - have a bowl of salad before your meal (like you would at Harvester mmmm)
If i'm having chilli or something that doesn't go quite right with extra veg/salad i have a bowl of lettuce, onion, beetroot, pickles and carrot before my main meal..Unfortunately you can't have the bread roll and butter like you would at harvester! :rotfl:
Todays menu
B - apple, yogurt, weetabix(1/2 HEb)
L - spaghetti hoops
T - SW Lasagne(hea of cheese), salad (big to make up for lack of SF at lunch)
S - orange, milk in tea (2), alpen light bar (1/2 Heb) crisps (4)Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
