Virgin Capping my speeds - Raging!

Thanks for drawing my attention to this. I had no idea about their caps, they certainly didn't advertise it to me when I joined up. I've been wondering why I frequently can't watch iPlayer.
They've put my bill up by almost 10% today. They'll be losing a customer in August.0 -

iPlayer requires minimal bandwidth, this will not be the problem.0 -

Howso? Because when I previously investigated why I kept going over my 20GB monthly limit (with o2), I came across information to suggest that it was the 2-3 programmes I watched on iPlayer most days.
Your complaint is that you can't watch iPlayer sometimes. Even if you are on a reduced speed for heavy usage (there is no cap - just a speed reduction), iPlayer would still function fine.0 -

Thanks. It sounds like I need to call them (which I've been loathe to do because they are awful). I'll make the effort now.0 -

You should be able to watch iplayer with thoses capped rates. I've only got 1.2M with Sky and Iplayer works, though a bit grainy.
I have unfortunately had to move to a BT openreach supplier. You will only be able to get about 7M with BT openreach and they all are crap.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0 -
