supermum4 has already got Sky phone and broadband or at least one or the other which is why she got the 9 month offer and doesn't need to go into a 12 month contract unless one of the products is new.
The offer you have been given is the single biggest discount Sky will give at the moment and they are not allowed to stack multiple offers.0 -
I cancelled in January (30 day notice meant TV off in Feb). I was offered the works for 6 months free today. In effect no TV for 5 weeks, then free for 6 months. Because I was now taking TV, I get the broadband discount too. I have never ever has Sky Sports or Movies before.
I regained TV and lowered my bill in one call. Kids are happy too, cos they have now got more channels than before. Just in time for Easter holidays and all through the summer holidays.
Definately worth the sacrifice (we lived on Freesat and Freeview for the time sky was cancelled)
Life is short, don't spend all your time payng for it:rotfl:0 -
If you have sky tv, phone line and broadband and want to try and get one of these offers, do you have to phone to cancel the tv package only? Or phone to cancel everything including phone line and broadband?0

The offer that ekoforshow got is not available from Retention. It's a rejoining offer so as they said they went without Sky for 5 weeks. It's also an outbound only offer so you need to already get telemarketing calls from Sky for there to be a chance they will call you with something similar.
You shouldn't need to cancel phone and bb, just the tv. It's a lot harder for Sky to get you back on tel and bb after you move them away.0 -

Yes that is true, I read somewhere that as we are coming to the end of the financial year, they are desperate to "up" their customer numbers for services, so it is a good time to try.
Having said that, I did get a call before my TV expired offering "A deal that I could Not Possibly Refuse" in his words, my response even before I heard what the deal was
"If it means me spending even a penny more than I already am, stop now as I will not be interested".
To answer your question, cancel the TV, you will most likely get a phonecall to keep you before it expires and if you hold your nerve (and can go without TV for a while, they will try to lure you back ...eventuallyLife is short, don't spend all your time payng for it:rotfl:0
