I have just received my dispatch email from Lux Box! :rotfl:

I'm also really angry with Glossybox  even though I don't buy their box!

On their FB page they claim that this month's Glossybox is "natural" and even uses natural, biodegradable packaging, whopp de woo.

Well, a quick look at the contents shows that some of the items that were available contained SLS, PEGs, parabens or petrochemicals. Not exactly natural is it?

It really is my pet hate when companies make claims that products are "natural" because they add a drop of rose oil etc. I'm sorry, but a spoonful of jojoba oil in a bathtub full of Fairy Liquid doesn't magically transform it into something natural and good for your skin - which is pretty much what these products claim.

Glossybox do seem like a bunch of try-your-luck artists and I can't see myself ever being tempted by them.

I can't wait for the next Amarya box! Hope it comes around the 11th again because I'm off to Marrakech on 19th. I'll be coming back to another Lux box - but I will be suprised if the second one matches up to the first for me.

Well I'm not happy with Glossybox as I received my dispatch email a week ago and still no box! I wouldn't mind but I don't even live in the wilderness - hehe!

I liked my Lux Box so I will definitely give it ago again next month. Glossy I am tempted to stay a second month purely because next month is their Birthday so surely it will be a good box....?!

My She Said Beauty Box is on its way and I have to say obviously I want it to be worth it but I need to unsubscribe to at least one!! Hehe!!

Also just subscribed to Look magazine for the benefit free gift (posie tint & creaseless eyeshadow)....woooops!! Though I do like the magazine and quarterly subscription is £19.50 so bargain since Posietint rrps at £24.50 alone and I love it!

    Ah dear...sucker for a bargain....

    LUX BOX SPOILER ALERT

Soooooo, hopefully Rose80 and others have now received their Lux Box so I will spill the beans for anyone wondering :)

My box contained (with average ml for ml values):

10 ml of Balance Me Wonder eye cream £13

1g BM Beauty mineral eyeshadow in "Wolf Howl" £3.50

1g BM Beauty mineral eyeshadow in "Her Majesty" £3.50

    5ml-ish Moa Green Balm £1

full size 75g Ltd Edition "ambigue" Steam Cream £12.95

    Eldora handmade false lashes £3.95

Total ml for ml value: £37.90 :money:

For me, it was worth it just for the Balance Me eye cream as I was going to buy that anyway in the next month or so.

Love the fact that the Balance Me eye cream, Moa balm and the two eyeshadows are 100% natural. The Steamcream will make a nice gift for someone (nice ingredients but, for me, parabens are a big no-no sadly) and I'm sure the eyelashes will get used one day! Although I always feel that falsies make me look like a drag queen :o

Great sizes of all the items and an overall high quality feel.

I would have loved most of those items. Especially the Balance Me, Moa, and the Steam Cream. Glad I signed up for LuxBox now, although don't know how long I can keep 4 going for. :o:D

Honestly, the eye cream is gorgeous. Really silky, absorbs really fast and has an immediate tightening feeling. We'll have to see whether it can work its wonders on my dark circles but that's a tall order for any cream/serum (I'm really pale so naturally prone to blueness under the eyes)

As for the eyeshadows - I have more make up than I could possibly use in an entire lifetime but there's always room for more! Really generous sizes too. 1g doesn't sound a lot but they are pure pigments so it's the equivalent of a full-sized pressed shadow really.

i got the same box as you purplebutterfly. I would never have bought those eye shadows but they are lush. quite likeing the eye cream and lashes but not sure about the steam cream as it made me a bit itchy and the smell is not to my taste but ill give it a fair bash. not sure about the balm but if i get a burn or something i'll give it a go. nice box tho I'm going to give it another month and see how i go.

I got the moa in a glossybox and the steam cream in a carmine box, so I'm not overly satisfied, but I suppose it's my fault for being too greedy with the beauty boxes:D

I get really dark circles too, although dark. Mine can really make me look awful if I haven't slept properly. I love the "Wolf Howl" colourway in the eyeshadows, gorgeous! I so want your box, but will have to wait to see whats in the next one. :D

Got my luxbox! I really like the eyeshadows and lashes, can't wait to actually have something to go to which I can wear them to! I have cancelled though despite liking the products as I am really trying to stick to just 2 boxes.

Interesting point about the GB products purplebutterfly, I had assumed the products were all organic with no 'nasties', I much prefer to use products without all that stuff in. As it's a bank hol on Monday Amarya will be dispatching on Tuesday the 8th (they normally post on the 7th) so you should get it in good time for your hol.

I'm awaiting shesaid too, am planning on cancelling after this one but looking forward to seeing what I get, since they were sent yesterday looks like they will prob be here tomorrow.
