having looked on Facebook re the Luxbox email, have noticed that Amitee has exactly the same post on their fb page for an item being sent out in this month's box

Thanks for this - using info on the Amitee FB page I've actually found the brand of foundation that will be featured in July's Lux and Amitee boxes. I'll link below in case anyone wanted to know what it was before buying

white: the website is here and I'm a bit !!!!ed off because I just resubbed to Lux so that I could get the foundation and now I find out that I could have ordered it direct for £4 (£1.50 + p&p) sucked in again :rotfl:

If only it was a case of "find your shade by matching which celebrity your bank balance is most like" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Be nice to be "Oprah".

Sadly, they don't have shade "being chased by debt collection agencies but blowing all money on beauty boxes" or that would be my perfect match! ;)

Ha! That actually made me lol whilst on the bus home!

Link didn't appear - I wondered if it was

which is £4 with £3.95 for p&p to UK

but having gone to quote you, I noticed the link to

    *{http://www.yanacosmetics.com/Foundation-Shade-Finder}

and think you may be right and according to me you can get a sample tester of your chosen shade for £1.50, which is probably what we will get.

    Purplebutterfly - maybe we'll be lucky and receive a full-size foundation? (£25 worth ;))

I'm excited about trying a new foundation as it's the thing I find most difficult to get right.

I am a little confused :o - I just went to the REN site to buy some more items because the 4 free samples offer is supposed to end tonight (although they may well extend it) and i want another couple of the free gifts.

Looking at the sample kits and working out the ml for ml value, they seem to be incredible value for money.

The sensitive kit seems to be worth £23.73 but costs just £13 whilst the normal kit seems to be worth £28.93 but again only costs £13

Have I worked this out wrong? I know you then need to add on the £3 postage but it still makes them well worth the money - so I bought one of each in separate orders and got my freebies too

Probably won't keep the jojoba exfoliator from the free kit so I can stick that on ebay - but it looks as if I'll now have enough skincare to last me all year! :rotfl:

Purplebutterfly - the travel kits looked like very good value to me. I didn't work out the price per ml like you (impressive! Bunberry did good work earlier as well!) I chose the Sensitive kit as it was the perfect combo for me to try (I wanted the serum most of all). V good value, even with the P&P :D (I only wish that I could try the Clarifying Clay Cleanser as a sample size...)

Good reminder Willowbee - here's a repost of bunberry's data to help anyone coming new to the thread who hasn't seen it yet

Alright... I caved and used the fiance's details to open a new REN account (10% off ehehe) for the kit & 4 samples, then went for the Glossybox + natural box option, lots of post for me!

I even worked out the £/ml prices based on full sizes in a spreadsheet to make sure I get the best value ;)

Here's the list for anyone interested:

    Frankincense Revitalising Night Cream 64p/ml
    Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask 60p/ml
Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream 54p/ml
    T-Zone Balancing Day Fluid 52p/ml
Photoactive Sun Veil SPF15 52p/ml - you only get a 3ml tube of this as opposed to the others which are 5ml (but I loved the texture so much that I went for the full size as well as more samples :D)
    Vita-Mineral Day Cream 50p/ml
F10 Smooth and Renew Peel Mask 40p/ml
    Invisible Pores Detox Mask 36p/ml
    Hydra-Calm Cleansing Gel 11p/ml

  • Hi,
    Hope everyone is well.
I gave the LiB box a miss too .. swithered about it but would only really want it for one or two things.
Took wee trip to local shops with my daughter today and found Stila products in Poundland! It's being raved about on the Facebook swappers board too. Our branch had tinted moisturiser and a foundation refill but have heard some branches have more items including dry shampoos etc.
Absolutely love REN but will be heading for spare room if hubby catches me buying anything else this month ... :)

I caved and got more REN, opened a new account and got the normal skin travel set, mostly for the mask as I'd like to make it a weekly thing to use it and see if it makes a difference. Have chosen the glocolactic and detox masks as one of my 4 samples again as well so I'm getting 35ml of the glycolactic mask in this next delivery for £14.70 total :) All the other things are just a nice bonus.

I'm still not sure about SSB, the June box was amazing, but I got what I considered the good box with the lemon body butter and st tropez spray. I unsubbed before the July box and am glad I didn't get that one as there was nothing in the box that would have been of interest to me.
Ah well, it's past midnight so I guess it's not working anymore anyway, probably for the best...
