Oh well if OP is foolish enough to remove items from his computer without an explanation for it, more fool him.

Telling someone to delete something without telling them the reason for it, is totally irresponsible.

The op posted asking for help. I'm helping him. You're not! The forum post you did was helpful but the other comments aren't :)

    I see this

    O2 - BHO: BitComet ClickCapture - !!39F7E362-828A-4B5A-BCAF-5B79BFDFEA60} - C:\Program Files\BitComet\tools\BitCometBHO_1.1.2.7.dll

which is a P2P filesharing site, def not a legal download !!

    as Merciless points out

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Long Size Poke 4] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Phonemesslongsize\Bits hope.exe

is a LOP infection , either spybot or adaware will remove in safe mode but you should delete the file in safe mode

    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [32 Third] C:\DOCUME~1\Mark\APPLIC~1\Gluemags\Warnproc.exe

is an unkown process but look wrong and should be fixed and the file deleted in safe mode

    O8 - Extra context menu item: &D&ownload &with BitComet - res://C:\Program Files\BitComet\BitComet.exe/AddLink.htm

    O8 - Extra context menu item: &D&ownload all video with BitComet - res://C:\Program Files\BitComet\BitComet.exe/AddVideo.htm

    O8 - Extra context menu item: &D&ownload all with BitComet - res://C:\Program Files\BitComet\BitComet.exe/AddAllLink.htm

just need fixing and the Bitcomet program removed from add/remove programs.

also fix the other items the merciless killer pointed out, but ONLY these items !!

then scan the pc in safe mode with spybot, adaware and AVG (ewido) again after running ccleaner to ensure the deleted files have gone

then please come back and post another hijackthis log

May very well know what he is doing, but there is absolutely nothing to indicate that he does know, has not been appointed by anyone here as a technical expert.

Hmm i would really take advice from saying "First of all when you disable system restore it deletes all the files in memory as far as I am aware", as far as your aware, meaning you dont know.

Yes OP has asked for help, and i pointed him in the direction of experts who know what they doing and more importantly the people asking there about this sort of advice know that the help they get from these moderators is good advice.

  • omg neil lol @ this!

"as far as I am aware" is meaning if someone wants to disagree fine, but in my opinion as from what i've learnt this is the case :) Am I wrong?

Secondly, Look at the amount of thanks I have. Most of that is from the technical section. Who thanks someone that gives bad advice and destroys the pc?

The op can find other forums via google. He posted here for help. I'm helping him. Why are you arguing? This isn't your post. If the OPer is concerned then he can choose not to take my advice or not! But based on my post count and thank count, he knows he can trust me. And also with Browntoa's backing (who has even more posts and thanks than me), he knows there's no worry!

So please leave this post alone and let us help the OP properly! Thank you

  • well chaps its worked , ill delete bitcomet and reinstall , ive also deleted (fixed) the files you mentioned , id already fixed 2 as i recognised them from running counterspy.

another question if you dont mind .... if i reformat and then re-install all my peripherals , router , programs etc , then ghost an image to cdr will i be able to simply reinstall my environment should the same happen again , bit of a mess around all this in the end it took 3 hours , time well invested however because i know it will come up time and time again with a customer

ps i followed major geeks instructions for removing spyware adaware .

    thanks again chaps

so I wrote the spyware removal guide (with the help of others, one of who is an expert on here http://www.help2go.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,32/page,viewforum/f,5/
and a member of http://asap.maddoktor2.com/ ) that has succesfully been used by many to clean their PC's without my(or others) help...

how do you know that I don't post on one of those other "specialised" forums ???

To say "as far as i am aware" implies you dont actually know if it will do what you said.

Also like you say Browntoa does in fact seem to know what he is doing by giving a consice reason why he needs to remove a certain item, and explaing what the item he is removing, not jts delete it.

Regardless of any thanks, (in all honesty means nothing, as anyone can thank anyone here, but they cant give a negative remark) would you in all honesty remove a file from your computer if someone said Delete it without telling you why.

If you want help as you trully seem to do, then follow Browntoa style, which is like the style of moderators on techie guy site.
