I've only just stumbled upon this thread. You have a beautiful home and I love the garden seating area, but as has been said no real garden would put me off.

Personally I don't think the two children's bedrooms are shown very well as they look too much like lounges. I'd like to see a bed.

On first look the thing that sticks in my mind is televisions, they just seem to feature so much and that's what has left its impression on me.
  • Funny how we all see something different.

I got confused when watching the tour as I thought your house was the cream fronted one and then the camera closed into the dark house next door with all the foilage on the front of the house. So I am none the wiser which one it is?

However, the inside is immaculate no faults there.

    Good Luck

Hi we are the one next door to the ivy house - I keep getting it trimmed back so it doesn't get our house.
I have had 1 viewing yesterday, the couple seemed to like the house but they have only just put there's on the market so I don't think we will be getting any offers.
I just keep hopeing that we will get some more viewings soon.
We arnt in a mad rush to sell but the quicker we do sell the quicker we can be mortgage free and start on the other house.
I Supose I'll just have to keep waiting the house went online Tuesday and as I've never sold before I'm not sure how quickly viewings come around.

  • It's extremely well presented obviously and any changes that people suggest can only be minor ones. Of course a nice big garden would be incredible but you can't do much about that. I think if it were my house, I would put some trellis up the white brickwork with a clematis or two. But there you are, nothing really to criticise. I don't think you will have a problem selling even in this market. Keep posting, I'd love to know how you get on.

I'm certainly in a glass house when it comes to throwing stones at this particular property, but hey, it's an internet forum so here goes.

The whole place looks harsh and clinical, which I think is mostly due to the hard floors everywhere.

An obvious fix would be a rug or two.

Too many tellies, hide one or two, and I don't think I'd mention the one in the bathroom - a bit too professional footballer-like.

Finally, a local reference for the OP: a bit overdone for Jarrer, marrer?

    Lovely house!!

Ultra modern which I love, tv in the bathroom superb!!

    Kitchen looks great too!!

I struggle to find faults in this, apart from I wish it was in Norfolk!!!

Having had a 2nd look at the pictures, maybe it's a bit 'cold' feeling - ultra picky the garden might not appeal to many, but overall still lovely!!

    Good luck selling!!

P.S What your % fee you have paid, I love the lay out and presentation by the EA!!!

I hope Chase Holmes are better as an estate agent than they are as a letting agent.

Last Sept I was looking to rent near Newcastle while house sold in NW as I was moving back for work. I had viewing booked on a flat but didn't get to see it as the agent from Chase Holmes didn't bother turning up.

That was a bit of a pattern that day; two other letting agents didn't show up at other properties either.
