NNNOOOoooo!!! Well it's too late now but yorkshers can collapse just like souffles if you open the door on them and especially if you don't close it gently.

Mine always rise beautifully, but they never used to until......

I discovered the equal quantities method. i use a small cup, and put exactly the same amounts of flour, eggs and milk, whisk well, leave to stand for about half an hour before using, make sure oil is really hot, and Bob's your uncle.

Even my mum is impresed, that's how good they are.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

Toooo right :) Never open the oven door before they're done :)

(I did see some chef add a drop of vinegar to the mix, but I don't know what that was all about  )
  • Nonsense, it rises beautifully still. No light on the oven so only way to see how its doing, and it was fab!

Hi its plain flour, cant tell you what quantities though as I do it by eye (being a yorkshire lass lol)

If you need something quickly again, why not do a google for it. For instance if you put yorkshire pudding recipe into google, it will bring up a million recipes, all telling you its plain flour and you'll also get the quantities for the other ingredients :-)

    Good luck!
