I use Delia Smith's recipe and it always works for me, key things are very hot oven, very hot baking tins and patience not to keep opening the door whilst they rise. Good Luck!

  • I use Delia's recipe, but add an extra egg, they always rise beautifully.

    3oz plain flour
    3fl oz milk
    2 fl oz water
    2 eggs

Make a well in the flour, add eggs, then add liquid.

I always heat the tin in the oven before I pour the mixture in, and use fat from the meat tray. I use a shallow metal yorkshire tin.

I have also made this with half quantities, just for two yorkshires, and it still works every time.

    Hope that helps ;)

heres my yorkshire puddings recipe, it never fails.

    1/2 pt of milk
    2 eggs whisked together
add 4 oz plain flour - mix with liquid and ideally leave for a few hours.

put small amount of lard into the tins and heat in oven at 230. when really hot, pour mix in and cook for 25 minutes.
