The problem being will it happen at the customer sevices desk in PC World? Mr Murphy and his lawywers make me think it won't. :(

Zaccy, I also went to PCWORLD and they basically said that as it was outside the 28 day period they could not exchange the PC and that I should call 0870 901 3000 for support. Apparently this will be picked up by DHL destined for Holland and will take 5-7 working days to get back to me. I suppose it will be the same story for you but good luck

My laptops great except for the Crap battery (which seems to be a common problem)and the useless DVD-RW drive.

It's a Mat!!!!a-840D. It's burn every disk I've used OK but it will only burn my 8x +R disks at 2.4x? I forgot to check what it burnt my previous 4X disks at but I'm annoyed it won't burn 8X with 8X disks. There's also very little information on this drive (let alone firmware) anywhere on the net.

Has anyone else had better experience with this their drive?
  • Can't help you there, Mew. My lappy has an NEC dvdrw in it.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.
