aaaargh, im so upset right now!:(:(:( i had 2 missed calls this morn, ma phone was on silent. thing is, last night i said to maself, id better put ma phone on incase itv ring (really! totally random, right?!) but i forgot. anyway, im 99% its itv, altho i cant find the exact number, only the last number is diff. i tried all day to call it back, but it just rings and rings and rings. i wasnt that bothered earlier, but then i looked at things ending today, which was a total mistake, i dont EVER advise it if ure in this situation. i dont feel like it was somat big, esp as i never win owt, but id of loved the games or somat, which actually, still is a really big deal.

anyway, i looked thru itvs t&cs and it says if you dont answer the first 1-3 times (depends on comp), thats it, ure chance has gone, and it goes to someone else. i dont want to know if anyone else got a call today, pls dont tell me, i couldnt take it! ive been crying over it just now, as i cant believe i didnt turn ma phone off silent when ma head told me to! its not even like im thinkin i missed a big win, its just the missin out in general! ive had one lil win this yr, and needed somat to keep me goin!

was just posting this to warn everyone, not to ave ure phone on silent in the morns, and if the number starts 02071562 fer the love of god pick it up!!!

i think theyd of called back by now. theyre prob not pickin up as it was a win, and dont know how to tell me its gone to someone else! why dont they use a witheld number!

    Hi Sherbie

I wouldn't give up hope, a lot of people have missed ITV calls and either phoned them back (I'm guessing you tried that?) or were recalled.

I think I read that ITV were calling people re audiences today too, so it may not be a prize.

Try not to stess out :)

I reckon a lot of people (me included) work full time and are not able to have their phone switched on at work. I always enter the ITV competitions and would certainly hope that they would try the next day, or in the evening or something. They must appreciate that people have jobs to go to. I wouldn't stress about it.

ooh, really? well, im gonna try n pretend thats what it was! i always opt fer the dont contact me thing, but im still gonna convince maself it wasnt a win, and they wanted me on jeremy kyle!

its just the frustration of not being able to do owt, mostly the weird feelin i had last night about takin phone off silent! i tried (in a pretty stalkeresk fashion) to call em back, but no joy!

thankyou for the replies! i swear ma phone is NEVER goin on silent again!

And I agree with Marg2k8 .. I'm sure a company as big as ITV would try at least the next day.

    Good luck!

    sherbie,
Last year I missed 3 calls from ITV on my mobile phone, they had been calling over the period of a couple of days. It wasn't until my husband checked the phone and I googled the number that I realised it was ITV. I immediately called the number. They hadn't re-allocated my prize, I had won £250.00 of Luxury bed linen.
I think that it has also been posted that ITV once emailed an mser (can't remember who it was, as it was a couple of years ago) as they had not been able to reach the person by phone. So I shouldn't worry too much at the moment, try ringing them again tomorrow. ( they really are lovely people at the ITV)
Good Luck and I hope it is a nice win for you

Well that's nice and reassuring for the stressed out OP -

don't worry OP - a mate of mines friend's mum's mate's ex's neighbour used to work in a 'competitions department' (lol) - and when they couldn't get through the first time they used to hand deliver the prize!!:)

..actually ITV do try hard to get hold of you - as I've heard / read not only from the above posts, but also from many other threads on here and elsewhere!! ;) :)
:smileyhea Thank you to all that post comps - may the Comping Fairy return your time and generosity doubled!:smileyhea
