That reminds me of a couple of years ago we bought one of those metal pop up gazebos. Put it up and went off on holiday 2 days later. The boys were here and had planned a bbq with their mates.
The wind got up something rotten so it seems and twisted the framework of the gazebo we couldn't do anything with it. It was set up in a sheltered area too but like you said a wind tunnel must have formed in it   :eek:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

that happened to my gazebo. I left for work and it was in one piece, with the cover already taken off, came back and it was all twisted up against the window

Mum has been referred to local hospice doctor with regards her pain relief, palliative care nurse did not think patches were the best option. Also mum has finally agreed to go and try a local centre where she can have lunch, chat to someone other than me, try a craft, maybe have her nails done or even a massage. I think it will do her the world of good. Not sure if I'm really cut out for this caring role.
I got my mum into a local centre for 2 half days a week, somewhere for her to chat to other people of her own age and they had activities for them too.
Not easy being a full time carer but by using local clubs if they are available in your area will give you some time for yourself and give your mum something to look forward to.There's no place like home

Evening all! Hope you're all well?
Couldn't find the price flop leaflets in my local but I did get a few bargains and the purple bars are still scanning at 1p
I went to Sainsbob's first, had to wait ages to get in though as the road to the store was clogged up with people panic-buying fuel! Luckily they eased it by making people drive around the car park so the people just wanting to shop weren't held up and it didn't back up all the way to the roundabout on the main road!
There I got:-
3 x big bags KE potatoes 10p
2 x pots ready-braised red cabbage 10p
Thomas ready made railway 70% off £16.99 down to £5.09!!! :j:j:j
Then to T's where I got:-
3 x Packs chilled mash 10p
2 x packs crispy potato slices 15p
2 x 5 pack pears 5p
2 x packets diced onion 5p
I sold my neighbours 2 of the potatoes, both pears and one of the crispy slices, total 45p! They really appreciate it as they are on a low income at the moment and I LOVE being able to pay back all the favours they've done me by helping to stretch their food allowanceIt gives me a really nice feeling, plus they can't believe how little you can pay for food if you get there at the right time! I am now known as her personal shopper :rotfl:
