fentanyl patches should be much more effective and hopefully have less confusion but it is still possible, main thing is to get her comfortable with least amount of side effects, hope things settle for her x

Hi Tinyshoes, I'm no doc so won't be as much help as celebrate, but I've had fentanyl patches before. (I'm actually wondering if there's a drug out there that I haven't had the honour of trying!! I'm only 29, frightening really!!)

I found patches gave absolutely no side effects and were quite good for pain relief. Also (if memory serves correctly) they last for 3 days each so it's one less thing to remember if she's taking a lot of medication. I still altered doses of mine too by cutting them in half etc if I felt I needed less. Really hope they help your mum. Fingers crossed for her. x
