    Hi Snap-ant
I think this may be one for the experts - sounds like it has been going on for a while? Chances are that the little one is very worried too about something, so will need to find out the root cause before being able to find solution? Not easy when the child is so young. If it were me, lots of hugs and reassurance, I would be trying to make sure he couldn't see how worried I was and perhaps step back from any strenuous efforts to actually encourage eating? All depends though on whether root cause is physical or pyschological or mixture of the two. Think I would be focusing my efforts on getting that appointment moved forward as early as possible. All so much easier said than done. Hugs to all involved, especially the littlie.

Poor thing there was a tv programme about people that had very restricted diets or wouldn't eat think it was called fussy eaters - from what I can remember there is usually a trigger point where something has happened, others on the programme had come to dislike certain textures in their mouths but there was one where eating gave them pain because I think it was something to do with reflux so to avoid the pain the child stopped eating I think they need to get the right help and support - perhaps a call to the local health visitor/doc, hope they find something that works for them
♥ ♥ Thanks - I will copy & paste your helpfulness to my friend. I like the not showing there are worried idea :) personally I think its to do with the actual eating. He bolks when he puts food in his mouth. So texture is interesting
Might pop to Extra in a bit as I can't face sorting out the bedroom. :(
:o know the feeling - my whole house is the same :)

Ideally you should boil the stones for 10 mins if your gonna be putting them in a fish tank

    Still catching up from yesterday.

Thanks for the info Decay, wasn't sure of the best way to clean these so had thought about disinfecting them then boiling after washing well.
Thankfully they won't be going in just yet as I've loads of baby Mollies in there so don't want to accidently kill any of them so am waiting until they're a lot bigger before changing anything

Snap-Ant, what is he like with drinking? Can they give him something nutritious to drink to get at least some nourishment inside him? And this is probably a daft idea, but has anyone eg a dentist checked his mouth, in case eating is painful for him? It must be worrying.
    czerniacha wrote: »
Did they explain in a calm tone why he NEEDS to eat, what food means to his body and what will happen to it if he doesn't eat?
He is a big boy. Even smaller children understand things very well if they are explained and good arguments are provided.
They can show him on the internet(pre-selected!!!) what happens if your body doesn't get what it needs(if he's mature enough iykwim) If they can they should try to make it more positive first(like he will be big and strong if he eats - but I'm sure they tried already)
Also maybe take him to the supermarket and let him choose 5 foods he wants to buy and will promise to eat?
    Involve him in preparing/cooking.
Treat him like an adult, give him choice, explain things...
If it all fails: tell him what is happening to his body(loosing weight, bones/muscles are not getting what they need, future consequences etc), tell him if he carries on he will not have the energy to do the things he loves(playing in the park, with his friends etc.) tell him he will eventually have to go to hospital so his body can get 'fuel' and it won't be a painless experience...
Oh gosh, good luck to them! :)
♥♥ Thank you - copied & pasted to email to my friend
    - good sound advice :T

Happy, is the mess and clutter getting you down? I know that feeling, it can all feel overwhelming. I find the best thing for me is to clear one area at a time and put things away, and starting with the floor is often a good idea. (Things always look better if the floor is clear, plus it's easier to move around). Another thing I do is say I'll put x number of things away, then go and do something nice. (Sometimes this involves wine :rotfl:).

I'm not a huge expert - am sure someone else will confirm but I've only ever used one. I have, however, been able to use the £5 off £40 till spit and another £7 off £70 (mum & dad were sent and knew they wouldn't use) within the same shop...............

As long as you spend £77 it will be fine - i have used two £6 off £40 before, one a mailer voucher and one a till spit.
