Rosie- Thanks for this- I am up every EVERY morning at about 4:30 sneezing my head off. At the moment I am having the neighbour's honey (unfortunately I HATE honey). And she is so good - gives me the bits of the honeycomb with all the disgusting flower bits - and that helps, but still... I hate to succumb to pills, but they stop me wanting to rip my eyes out!

    Thanks thanks thanks!

I am really feeling the love on this one. But actually i did find on hot deals so can't take all the credit:rotfl:

    Morning Everyone!

What a weekend! Frenchkickers - loved your pics - the best one though, imho, was the knives!! Great shot! :D

QoC - Many happy returns of the day.

    - Hope this morning's visit goes well. Your Mum was obviously a great character, and in time, you will smile at your memories.

I still have the notes that my children, and I, put on my Mum's flowers - they are right here in the drawer beside me. In fact I got them out yesterday to look at after reading your posts. My Mum was a keen gardener and the flowers were important to us, and I am glad to say they were beautiful. After the cremation, my sis and I couldn't bear to see the flowers left there, so, rather against the norm, we took our tributes home. We had had them arranged as displays, not wreaths, in accordance with my Mum's wishes, and they were so gorgeous. They lasted about 9 days, and were a pleasure to look at each morning when I woke up feeling so heavy with grief. We all do things differently in these sad times; there is no right or wrong.

My sis put hers outside her front door. It was unusual, but worked so well - people realised she was grieving and the flowers were like a mark of respect. One of her friends commented that it enabled the conversations of condolences to be made more easily - the grief was out in the open, so no awkward 'should I/should I not mention it.

A bit of a long post - sorry, and thanks for listening :o

Ah the Dude (I had a secret crush on him :o) wonder where he is now?

Now that you've come out of the closet (so to speak) he'll probably reappear! He sounded a lovely person and was helpful to others.
