Typical, the 2 days I cannot go this week (Thurs and Saturday) are the 2 dates I have received
What a waste of time!!!!
I ended up not sending mine off, I heard of so many people getting totally unsuitable dates, and I have such little time when I can do this sort of thing that I decided it wasn't worth the stamp. I got all the tokens from my Grandma who has the paper anyway. I do get to go there once a year anyway on a school trip so at least I will go there once this year.:)0 -
It's a shame about the knife glitch
These would have been ideal to go with the forks that always seem to be offer.
I've yet to find these yet but I often hear the SA's speaking about "another forkin glitch going on".AKA; Mad, MM, MM5, Madicles  ©

Thanks so much (",)I have voucher codes for free places in the Cardiff Half Marathon 2017. PM me for details0 -
All this talk of knives and dangerous activities reminded me of a game we used to play as kids which was called "knifey" and a variant which might have been called "stretch"? Does anyone remember playing it and do kids still play it? (may have been very local though)
Vague memories, but it involved standing opposite each other on grass with legs apart and taking turns to throw the knife in between the feet. If it stuck in the ground, one foot would be moved to that point and so on until the feet were together. Definitely not a game to play in bare feet or thin shoes as I recall:eek:
Artha , we played it all the time , called it ' split the kipper '
Thanks for the memory jog .I was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -

I was the talk of the office last week when i bought 12 pairs of shoes in my lunch break :eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
In my defence, one pair were my wedding shoes and the others were flip-flops. :rotfl::rotfl:
OT but which is closest to IKEA? The coach station or train station. I need to get to IKEA before the wedding and ever since selling the car, i have needed it for everything

Sheer volume of people in the store means lots of competition and often from people who are willing to pay more for it than us.
Secondly each store seems to have its own little idea of when to do reductions on a sunday. I've seen stuff all still on the shelf and half price or more at the end of the day, on other occasions its all been slashed by midday and gone.
Today we got a load of fresh pineapples 15 mins before store close at 1p each. There were tons of them, but there was nothing else.
Try to go at a quieter time if you can. Specially make the effort if the weather is foul as others may not go out.
I never go on a Sunday, have never had any luck with decent offers and far too may people thinking there will be loads of stuff going cheap. Most of our whoopsies only get as far as 50% or if we're really lucky 2/3rds off :rotfl:, but I still think that is pretty good for decent stuff.0
