Well as no one has pm'd me about the knives can someone please pm me when this thread returns back to it's normal happy self?

I know it may seem fun for all the "regular contributors" but for others it can be quite hurtful. I've posted every time I've found something in the hope I'll help others, I don't chat much, I find it difficult, I have posted a few times also about my grandad's illness and death and was overwhelmed by the support and was tryin to be a bit more active...

I'm sorry if I offend anyone with the post, but to me this thread if it carries on this way will be no better than the Facebook group, but at least they aren't coming on here rubbing it in the face of members that aren't "in the gang"

Thanks lutzi, I'm a really sensitive person and tbh I think I would blub, maybe it would be different if I didn't know the person?

I've told her son I'll do it but now I'm sitting here thinking why the heck did I say yes :o

Yes, it inevitably does make a difference if you know the person, though to be honest you can also get choked up when it's a complete stranger. If it's really a problem for you I'm sure her son will understand if you explain.

Another tip I've thought of is do NOT listen to the service/ tributes under any circumstances - you can't sing if your throat seizes up. I've sat hidden in the choir stalls and done a suduko to distract myself before today. I'm there to do a job and hopefully help people, not attend the funeral. Also, don't see it as a negative if people cry when you sing, tears can be an expression of joy, or cathartic. People have often cried when I have sung, and it's great to know you have connected with somebody that much (they tell me it's for good reasons, lol).

As an alternative is there any way you could record it in advance? Not as good as a live performance, but better than a record.

I always think to myself that if Sting could do a live concert on 9/11 (the recording is fantastic if you haven't heard it), then I can manage to sing in adversity too.

    HTH.
    Hope is not a strategy.

If possible could someone send me a message about the knives. I would be very grateful. Hope everyone is having a good day and that the sun is shining for you. Once again thanks

These Tescos threads have become very cliquey as time has gone on. I have no problem with people chatting about random off topic subjects but it seems that unless you join in with the endless waffle you are considered a 'Lurker'.

Is every glitch going to be PM only or will this return to being a public forum?

I'm afraid I don't have the time to keep up with the whole of this thread as I have 2 jobs and our house is a building site, but hopefully people will recognise my user name and some kind person might PM me the knife glitch pretty please?

The thread is wrecked at the moment. I've never seen so many unfamiliar faces and guess what, they only want to post to grab some 1p knives. I guess we all knew there were stacks of lurkers on here, now we know it.

Taken me ages to catch up this morning and all I see is post after post about these bloody knives.

Bored with it all. Off out.

Not a dig at you owen, just agreeing with you in a roundabout way. :)
  • OMG I am so dumb! I was wondering why" Tia "had so many requests for the knife glitch and then realised that it was thanks in advance.

I am off to Ts with my 1p knife list and boots for my hair conditioner before the dates finish on my SSM coupons.
    Enjoy the sun peeps ;D

Its not cliquey, its called a community spirit. We are all cyber friends here.

If you don't the 'endless waffle' then theres other Tesco threads you can go and join.

Kindly leave us alone to run our thread the way we like (within MSE's framework of course).
