Did I do something silly and has anyone returned the sets unopened of course to try the new system?
Thanks for any info n0 -

All this knife talk reminds me of the glitch last year, with the knives and baking tins.
The posh knives are great, but those tins they were originally charging a tenner for... one wash and the non-stick came off :rotfl:0 -

You are all letting the troll upset the forum, it's clear the troll reads here and HUKD but you have let him/her take over, it should be business as usual. Is Mark a regular poster on MSE/HUKD, you never know and the cloak and dagger approach is pointless if he/she is a regular.
C'mon people how long does it take T's to sort things outBusiness as usual I say.
I too think its a regular poster someone that wants it both ways, grabbing glitches then running off to snitch hoping for a giftcard as a thank you0 -

I've just had a phone call from her son asking me if I'll sing her favourite song at her funeral.
I'd love to do it for her but I don't think I can get through the song under the circumstances, I'll blub all the way through it
Should I do it or tell her son that I don't think I'd be much help and probably set off the whole congregation?
The song is Release Me, I sung it every week for her and she would get out of her chair and just sway along :A
PS can someone pm me the knife glitch please? thanks
Hi, I've sung at weddings and funerals, the hardest one was when I had to sing a song that the family had requested and the grieving widow was sitting 3 feet in front of me bawling her eyes out. The way I deal with it is by picking a spot at the back of the hall and singing to that above their heads, and in extremis you can dig your fingernails into the palms of your hand.
Sometimes it can be easier if you have something to focus on on the day - I'd have loved to have sung at my mum's funeral and would have been perfectly capable of doing it as it turned out, but it would have been too much for my dad so I respected that. Have a think about it - do you think you'll be able to stay focussed? If you think you'll get a tear in your eye, then fine, but collapsing in a blubbing heap obviously wouldn't be helpful.
Music can be really helpful to people at a funeral sometimes, so see what you think - we are usually all capable of being stronger than we think on the day. HTH :AHope is not a strategy.0 -
Well I've been reading since yesterday eve and following the hype on the knife glitch. I've not wanted to ask as I don't post often and fully agree with comments on lurkers.
I have tried my upmost to work out what it could be but despite trying every which way inside out, upside down - no success
Yes I am begging - but if any of you elite few can find it in your hearts to let me in on the secret please I would be forevere in your debt
Otherwise I'm off soon with my little paws full of price flops to use up before enjoying this gorgeous weather. have a great day all :A0 -
Thanks Lutzi1:A
Wasn't going to go to T's today, but may be persuaded now :T:T
