I've had flour mite too, I always keep flour in airtight plastic tubs now, I did wonder where they came from though and thought that maybe there was already eggs or something in the flour _pale_

The bogof eggs work fine - just make sure you have some other stuff so that your total spend comes to at least £10 just in case an eagle eyed trout sticks her oar in! I have actually got away with just 2 eggs and nothing else but that was with a sleepy headed young man who really needed a couple of matchsticks to prop his eyes ope!

The mites in flour are called Psocids. Linky here for those of a non-nervous disposition .

Much of the time they are brought into our homes already in the flour, as eggs. the humid, warm environment of the kitchen allows them to hatch so it's a good idea to freeze flour for 24 hours when you buy it to kill them off.

When you open the packet when its been opened if you see what I mean open it carefully & look at the paper just above the flour you can see little black/grey flecks smaller than this / moving around. If you've had an unopened one for a while they can also be in there when you open it
