why ask for advice then slate the negative advice.
yes tweed would be better, but maybe a little too warm for a spring shot gun wedding
That was extremely rude, the dress is neither overly short, or revealing. As for the remark about the shotgun wedding I think you should appologise.0 -
I didn't have a printer in those days
and I used to be very sad about all the cheap/free stuff people were getting.
It was great until they ran out, o/h loaded the last 4 boxes into a trolley, I had to drive home and print more coupons and we took them 6 at a time in turns thru the tills making £2 on each one, then we came home and took the refils out of the packs and sold just the machines on the car bootie {we kept around 6 of the machines} we got £2 just for the machines, oh how we laughed0 -
BTW One of my friends has now noticed my disappearance, and it's one of the ones that's never on FB :rotfl:
I know how you feel with regards to friends, i have just cancelled my hen night as hardly any of my friends could be bothered to reply on if they were coming or not! Going to go to a spa with my sis for the weekend instead:D

could it be because i am using opera?
if it wasnt for the fact this is my fellas laptop and hes in the room i would have thrown the damb lappy out of window by now getting very angry with it!!!!!
not very techie myself but on the first page of the coupons thread there are links to step by steps to get the coupon printer to install and work0 -
That dress is stunning, high heels, a 50s style bag and a big brimmed hat and you all all set. Just thought there, a pillbox hat would look great with it too.
You have to wear something you just love at your daughters wedding..
I am 54 and would def wear that dress.
I actually see the dress being worn with kitten heels and a fascinator, hair definitely up if it's long enough, something like these?

I haven't looked at the ones with alice bands as personally I don't think they suit anyone over 30, but you get hat-type ones which tie in to the 50s theme or clip-in ones, hth.
But basically, if you have doubts over the dress, go for something else, you'll want to feel comfortable and it's possible you haven't found the right dress yet, but phase eight is definitely the right place to look, that shop is gorgeous! xNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

The worst thing you can do is leave her alone or not visit or phone her at least.
I have had so called close friends who even almost a year since DH died still pretend they haven't seen me, cross the road when they do or turn and go in the opposite direction just because they're not sure how I'll react, this hurts more than if they just said 'Hi' Even most of DHs family won't speak to me, don't even call to see how we are coping and it hurts so much.
Just call and see her even if you don't know what to say to her, she'll appreciate you being there :heartpuls
That's awful of them, I hope you don't waste your time with these people any more, it makes me so mad when people are this selfish, of course it's hard to see someone who's grieving but if you're a friend you are there, you certainly don't ignore them and cross the street! What a pile of :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:s!!!queen_of_cheap wrote: »Kadison i've been meaning to post for you
I can count on the fingers of one hand how many "true" friends I have got. It doesnt mean I dont have mates, I have plenty of those but they're not the sort I would introduce to my family/
In a weird way, i am quite proud of this factI've previously been in the situation of finding out who my true friends are, and they are the ones who matter. Not some hanger on who only phones/texts/facebooks/emails when they want something
And besides, you have tons of friends on here :j
Thank you hun, it means so much to have you guys on here xxxNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023
