Good morning one and all :)

Well done to OB, top of the quiz, and a mega points winner from T's too, well done!

Kadison, you do what you can with/for your friends, and if you're trying to meet up and they're not bothering, then at least you're trying, even if they're not! Sometimes it's time to move on, and make new friends ...

Nikkilala, quite agree, granite worktops are brill for pastry. Made a sausagemeat, pea and tomato pie last yesterday. Whoopsied sausagemeat, and the pastry was from an Aunt Bessies offer months ago, that I thought I should use up!

FK, brilliant pictures as always :)

Have a very good day everyone.

    Morning All,

Had a mini adventure in a new Tesco Extra near where I work.
    Managed to find

    2 x Clapping hands Dolls - £9.50 each
    Stunt Chaser - £9.50
Various coats , baby gro's (for a friend), some butter and yoghurts
    total = £60.84

Then 14 of the Sun Sport jumped into my trolley so overcharged by £52.50:o

Lady advised I need to come back during normal hours for DTD refund (is this normal) I only work 2 days a week and is 50 miles from where I live so won't be able to go back until next Tuesday.
I did keep the SEL which had £1.24 was that the right thing to do?

After my £105.00 DTD it would of all cost me £21.65:)

    Very pleased with myself:T

I suspect that you may have a problem with a DTD refund unless you got the staff to log something in the CS book or some other written acknowledgement that there was an overcharge. Tesco frequently try every devious wriggle in the book to avoid paying up and they may say that you shouldn't have taken the SEL and that you could have taken it some other time when the offer WAS working.

Be prepared for an argument. (but I hope I'm wrong!)

£5 for a boat trip from Cardiff bay to flatholms and back, up to 3 kids free with 1 paying adult. Amazing deal if you live close.

WARNING : The bristol channel can get very rough , a couple of years ago a few of my family went on the balmoral to Porthcawl [STRIKE]and back[/STRIKE] . Virtually the whole ship disembarked at Porthcawl as most were being ill due to the conditions. :D

    Good morning elite,
Hope you all have a great day xx

Can anyone please remember the BBQ that was going through at 1p recently? We never had any in our store but now I think they have turned up. Anyone had them for 1p lately or are they full price now with new season stuff?

    Morning All ,

the new season stuff (bb date jan 2013) turned up in our local freezers the day before or maybe yesterday .
i didn't scan it as the new range didn't appeal to me ...
tuna and burgers ...there were also chicken wings .

Totally off topic I know, but has anyone had the goody bag that Matalan give away on opening day? Just wondering if it is worth the struggle to get there at 8 am!

I had one last December. Got a lovely scarf (which my DD wears nearly every day), a belt and a sequin purse. Worth it if you can spare the time! HTH :)
