Went looking for books by a particular author for DH. Didn't find any but.....pair of fuchsia pink leather Autograph ballerinas for 5.99 insteadf £40 - look like they've been worn once at the most. A Minuet silky heavy jersey top with three quarter sleeve s and a lovely shawl type neckline and a nice cotton jersey night shift with pretty embroidered hearts £3 for the two in a local charity shop. Well pleased!!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

I went to stay with a friend for a few days and found two new high-quality tops for £1 each. I nearly died of shock! Where I live clothes always seem to be a minimum of £4.99 even though it isn't a rich area. I might have to find an excuse to visit my friend again!0

My main bargains are always on books. My local hospice has a book shop and if you buy three kids books, you get three for free. It's brilliant. I pop in once every couple of weeks. The kids library is coming along very well.
One of the best bargains myself and my mother had recently was in the British Heart Foundation. We found a Brand new - still in the packet Cath Kidston phone case... for £1.99, which is great anyway... but the best thing is - it fit my mothers phone! She has a rather old phone and I've no idea which one it is. She was absolutely overjoyed and claims she will never change her phone now!0 -

Then an M and S Scandinavian looking patterned lambs wool jumper for me. It's a mans one as I get sick of tops being too short in the body.0 -

I've donated more recently. Not bought for a while.
Have a task now though. Cousin's 50th birthday party at the start of October requires my DH, men's XL, DsS, men's small and DS, 12-18mth to all wear Hawaiian shirts.....
turns out DH still had as old one in his wardrobe.
Found for both DsS and DS in the £1 hospice shop. DsS has a small men's H&M one and I found an age 1 Pumpkin Patch of for DS.

Haven't posted for ages and ages because all I've been buying is books, but this week has been a good week! Got a Boden green lambswool jumper for £4.99 (it's a man's one, but fits amazingly!) and then today elbowed my husband out of the way to get to what I thought were a pair of Doc Martens. Turned out to be a pair of Church's shoes - grey lace up brogue style ones. They didn't have a price, so I asked and they were £9.99. Similar ones online are over £300!! :j:j:j:j0
