I'm on a bit of a hold at the moment. Lack of funds notwithstanding, I've stocked DS up to age 4 (he's one a week on Tuesday  ) and I'm now six weeks pregnant with #2 so, once we know what we're having (which should be at the end of November, all being well) I'll either be re-organizing all the boy's stuff from the loft or hitting the shops for girl's stuff instead :D

Towser - Berkhamstead nice stuff but expensive - Harpenden hugely expensive but again usually have some very nice things. Don`t know about the others

This is why the prices seem fictional, I am obviously shopping in the wrong places.

Foxyloxy11 we live just outside Beverley in East Yorkshire and Beverley has some great charity shops but these particular bargains were from Hessle where there is a local hospice outlet where virtually everything is £1 hence the price of the suits and there are some other well priced cs as well Willerby where there is a sue Ryder that can be great sometimes and that's where I got the Cath kidston and Emma bridgewater and cottingham for the shoes and le creuset. We are fortunate that there are quite a lot of fairly affluent suburbs so get some nice things but the general cost of living and things is low so prices in the smaller charity shops or those that don't have national pricing are very good
  • BNWT pair of socks, 95p :-) Usually about £5 in the shops but the sort I like is getting hard to find.

Does anybody find anything good in Berkhampsted, Amersham, Thame, Harpenden, or Beaconsfield?

Beaconsfield is quite pricey. The stock in the Oxfam bookshops is good and well categorised, but almost the same price as new.
    They are an EYESORES!!!!
  • A Boden tank top with a greasy mark which came out in the wash for 50p and a small leather White Stuff wallet purse also 50p!

A brand new Kenwood Chef with the plastic still on bowl and beaters with instructions, not that I need them! for £75. A lot of money but I bought my old one in 1984 and the clanking noises were quite alarming!! I am very happy!!
    Slightly bitter
