Hello, I got some lovely car boot bargains today. One was a Derbyshire pottery jug/vase. Absolutely gorgeous and was only £1.
I also got some cast or in trivets which were also a £1 each.
I got a set of Jr. Tolkien books for £1.
I also got two luxurious sofa throws and a matching cushion for £2.50.
My daughter bought lots too but won't show me as I think it's for a special birthday cream tea for me on Tuesday . But I know it couldn't have cost too much. She also got a wicker hamper basket which is gorgeous for £5.“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. It's interesting to read how 'fussy' we all are about where we donate to.
Especially when it's donating something that's already come from a CS.
My Dad frequently buys books for 20p each in a local CS, reads them almost immediately, and then donates them to the Lions Book Shop who sell all their books at £1!
I must admit that I don't donate things to the shops I visit most frequently - it's mostly kids clothes/toys/books as my daughter would spot them and want to buy them back 😂0 -
My donation decisions are simple - one is a cause very close to my heart, as my mum was lucky enough to have respite and then end-of-life care at a hospice, and the other has sensible opening times (5.30 on weekdays) and free parking right outside.
I am a chazzer tart when it comes to shopping, in that I do not favour any in particular but will look in them all.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I have donated clothing to charity shops that sells for £7-£10 plus Gift Aid, some of these items were purchased by me for £1.00 at a car boot sale.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

However I doubt I'd buy from a chazzer that pricey.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

To me, it's not just the price that dictates whether I buy.
It's the condition of the item and the probable original price.
For example, if it was a designer item that had probably cost £200 new, was in great condition, I liked it & would wear it, I'd probably pay £7.50.
I wouldn't however pay £7.50 for a Next top that was originally only £20.00.0
