Primark have a cheaper range? Really? :rotfl:

Actually, VfM4meplse. Debenhams do an Essentials range so I wonder if it could be that rather than Primark.
    Or maybe a catalogue make?

I know I've seen the Essential label in clothes somewhere.

Seems that they do. Atmosphere is also primark.

I know Atmosphere is Primark, that's the label most of their stuff has.

I know their underwear/lingerie range is Secret Possessions.

I've just never noticed any of their clothes - dresses/coats/trousers - having an Essentials label.

Maybe if VfM4meplse looks at the label inside the coat (the one that tells you what it's made of, care instructions etc) it will say what brand it is.

I just googled 'Essentials 'and the first thing that came up is a company that rebrands end of lines from Next, M&S and Debenhams. So VfM4meplse has probably found a really good quality coat!! It sounds lovely.

I bought a dress and jacket for a party from a chain store. Got home and tried them on, discovered how badly made they were and took them back for a refund. Did a quick tour of the local cs's and got a gorgeous dress for £3, saving me £47. I've made the decision to shop only in cs's this year, with the exception of shoes and undies and I have enough of those to last me another two or three years!

30 copies of 'The art of Crochet' with the yarns. £4.99. My local wool shop runs a beginners crochet class I was considering for two hours for £25.00:eek: (excluding materials:eek:). So this is an alternative.

A Boden Summer dress (jersey) £3.00.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Hi everyone :) Haven't been on this thread for a while. I just haven't been charity shopping over the festive period. Popped into Droitwich today and picked up a Ralph Lauren jumper for my DS £1.95 and a set of six L'Occitane soaps brand new in packaging (will put this in my gift drawer) £3.50.
I also picked up a Warehouse floral top for £4.25 in BHF Worcester last week. It'll be perfect for spring/summer as it's covered in lots of tiny yellow and orange flowers.
    Suze :)

Do any of the charity shops regularly stock odd balls of wool?

I was listening to this and fancied a creative moment.

Most of them will have wool 'in the back' if you ask.

Or buy something nice, cheap and handknitted and unravel it.
