I have been to a PTA fund raiser.

Totally flunked the wine quiz (tbh after 'red' or 'white' I'm lost :rotfl: )BUT

    I WON A PRIZE....

WE WERE IN TABLE TEAMS AND HAD TO COME UP WITH A NAME FOR THE TEAM AND I CAME UP WITH A NAME AND FOUGHT FOR IT TO BE OUR NAME (head was on our table, and a governor, me, my mate, secretary, her hubby, head's wife) so I came up with Grapes of Staff. Head thought it was rubbish...

and it WON - so they gave ME the prize

I got 2 boxes of chocs (they make, and sell, posh chocs - well not cheap chocs) which I shared round and a bottle of Sancerre...

Squeak decided to keep OH up until 6am.. when I sent him to bed and got up with her! Dot is still snoozing!

Just had a message from DD1 really upset as one of her friends from high school died early this morning, she has been very ill for far too long.. she has leukaemia when she was 4 and the last lot of bloods after she was in remission (if those had been ok they would have said she had been cured :() showed it had returned and she died today. This is the second of her friends to die of illness.. they aren't even 18 yet it is just awful. So, we have had a wail and she copes like I do so her house is all tidy now :p.

ARGH!!! Granny put Teletubbies on for Squeak...

    Morning lovelies!

Tis a bit foggy this morning but going to get into the garden to give it a tidy up and do a skip run, council left allsorts of building rubble/crapola and some things of mine that they didn't chuck out *shrugs* also need to do my car inside and out today.

House is coming on nicely, all but one window now has curtains/blinds, the double oven came yesterday and has been fitted insitue waiting for the electrician guy to come and wire it up, it's gorgeous and shiny and massive :D most boxes have been unpacked and bedrooms arranged back to how they were. Got £150 decorating voucher off the council so will use it to do a couple of the bedrooms, then I'll buy the carpets.

Not doing a list for today cos I've got the whole weekend off so I'm just doing what I fancy when I fancy doing it, WM/TD will be in full flow though, and I need to buy some Whiskas cat food for princess Lily cos 'she's starvin cos I'm horrible and make her eat that awful Aldi stuff' pffffttttt...:D

    Laters dudettes x

ETA: Our posts crossed pigen: Aww how awful, that poor girl and her poor parents, hugs for your DD :( xx

We have lots of fog too. So we three are up, dressed, fed except DS who has refused a bowl of Cheerios, asked for cornflakes then refused to eat them and is now demanding crumpets. I've told him he's no chance he will be hungry until mid morning snack, he can have a banana when mr A has been and that's that. DD was a good girl and ate her Cheerios and a slice of toast, little piggy.

Anyway, kitchen is cleanish, with chicken curry in the oven on low for later, DW on, and just a bit of laundry so might do a small load and hang in airing cupboard.

Reasonably tidy here apart from the toy cars, and upstairs could use a HHT.

I even tidied in DD cupboard this morn, and put a feet bits in CS pile that she's grown out of. And I sorted some of my own clothes last night so I now know what I have and what I need for holidays. Just need to have a root through DS cupboard later, then will make a list.

Have a nice weekend all. We are having a quiet one, DS much better and spots almost gone, but DD is not her usual chirpy self, quite grumpy, and if I remember, DS was a grouch leading up to his spots appearing

ooh.. I waved to you as we passed yesterday Bossymoo.. I should have stopped to gather some pox :p.. 4 hours it took to do the 2 hour drive up the M62.. disgraceful! Naughty babies doing smells and evil roadworks!

do you reckon 5 hours kip in the chair and 3.5 in bed equates to 4.5 hours in bed?.. In other words, am I justified in booting OH out of bed now?

Piggers I'm so sorry to hear about DD1's friend. So very sad, a whole short life blighted by wretched illness.:(

Washing and hand washing on the line, washing up done, stuff in kitchen put away, recycling done, soup frozen, meters read and readings submitted. Need to do 10 minutes filing and then shower, dress and head off... typical that I have to go to London to spend most of the day inside when it is perfect gardening weather!
