Thanks guys, all is ok just a bit of disappointment for DS2 re 6th form, he'll be ok in a few days.
Fed up with the amount of homework primary is giving at the moment. I consider myself quite a supportive parent but they are stretching my patience.
Need to get DS3 showered and to bed and then collapse on the sofa for an hour I thinkThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I will be glad when this week is over!!
No drama with DS3 today.. woot!! BUT..
DS2 was sent home from school.. they told me he was being sent home for swearing at a teacher and has a 1 day exclusion.. now while DS2 is bit of a git at home occasionally he isn't one for going overboard without a reason! .. so.. I held my tongue with the school and waited until I spoke to DS2.
DS2 has severe dyslexia and dyspraxia and this one teacher has been a ship with him the last couple of years.. apparently today he was nagging DS2 to hurry up and do something but DS2 couldn't remember what came next in the list of instructions.. he has approximately 15 second recall and no sequential memory so he has to be told each instruction singularly. He had asked the teacher what to do next and the teacher had started mocking him which then made the rest of the class (though DS2 is prone to exaggeration) join in.. so DS2 got frustrated and swore at the teacher.. he was hauled before the head who them refused to listen to DS2 ... wholly unacceptable.. so guess who is going to be on the phone tomorrow!!
Good reports from the 2 primary teachers I saw tonight, the other is off sick so will reschedule
Bags packed for a weekend in the Badlands (away to visit OH's family)
Had dinner with my mother and a sister today (my sister not a nun!) which was nice seeing as I haven't seen my mother since 15th JANUARY!!!!
TD on
Bathrooms and downstairs almost reasonable.. MUST make a start on the bedrooms and landings next week.. it is pretty hideous up there!
I feel the ebay itch again.. I hate ebay, it is full of robbing KH's.. but I am poor so need to chase up some cash from somewhere.. my stash of junk is definitely needing to diminish!!!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
oh.. my bank has been decluttered as well it appears... £333.50 to high school for uniform for DD3 for when she starts in September.. and I still need to get her shoes and trousers and a bag and stationary .. though I will buy a few bits each time I go to tesco that should have it all sorted soon enough.. NB.. no gel pens for the boys (they are lefties and the gel pens get smudged everywhere as they don't dry instantly)
New freezer coming Tuesday so I need to see if my sister has room in her chest freezer until then and hopefully she will have so I can get my stuff to hers tomorrow.. there isn't that much TBH.. a lot could be binned I guess.
DD2 has finally relented and is talking to me again.. I had been ignoring her ignoring me and talking to her as I normally would... it iss the best way to break her.. I can now speak to her about my reasons and hopefully being less angry she will listen.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

DD's bedroom
the bathroom
half of DS's room -
landing
stairs
eww - what a lot of dust STILL (ever the Pollyanna) you CAN see where I have been :rotfl:
and have done out some more kitchen cupboards and washed the stuff that's gone into them - so at least I KNOW if it's in the kitchen it is clean and, therefore, usable!
I have also made decisions as to location of stuff - not an easy task as I make my decisions VERY VERY carefully :rotfl:
and i cleaned myb inbox...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
Boilder engineer due to arrive at 8am and make a load of mess no doubt.
List all updated to try to give me a bit of direction.
Piggers my lefties use quick drying gel pens and it seems to work well.
Right I need to clear all the stuff from my desk and get the washing on the line. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning All
An early start for you Dusty!
I'm at home tonight but DH is at home today due to a hospital appointment so hopefully some stuff will get done. I'm out all day tomorrow on a Beaver day - pirates theme so if I'm wearing cropped trousers I'd better shave my legs tonight - out at 8 in the morning back around 5!
Okay I'd better go and empty the TD and empty and reload the WM and then possibly do a HHI and the dishes need doing too.
Have a good day all
Hugs
