Not particularly great first week for me.
Just spend £103 on vets bills (had to pay by credit card).
    on top of that
    £1bread
    £0.37 carrots
    £2.46 bananas, pasta, bran flakes
    so my grocery budget £3.83 / £10
    weekly spend is terrifying £106.83
    Bad times

Zephyr don't worry, you can do both! Check out the Old Style board for the Grocery Challenge, it's the top Sticky usually! And then you can stay here for your miscellaneous spends as well! See? All good!

    At least for you.

    Not so much for me!!!..................................

Spent £4.43 yesterday on more naughty treats - ice cream, doh!

My only excuse is that I'm REALLY nervous about this initial consultation. It's tomorrow at 10am. 9.5 hours from now. I have to get through reception at the hospital, who I know all of them by the way and then get upstairs, without people accosting me to do telecoms work for them, because of course I'm actually there as a patient! I'm starting to wonder how wise I was to accept this. Then I'm meeting the female manager for coffee after to talk about it, hope I don't cry in public, that would be embarassing...

Also my Dr has signed me off till 26th, Monday, and he's backdated it to 15th when work told me not to go back in until I'd had the initial consultation, as he said allmy time off should be documented.

You know what I'm a mess right now, absolutely eerything is stress. Work, Dr, seeing consultant at my hospital, ( I used to have my lunch there when we were based on the grounds!!!), money if I keep getting signed off - I'm fast approaching my 6 week full pay limit... as long as the week of half I did don't count towards it! :( and then there's OU which I'm SOOO behind on the tutor has been callingme, then there's South Africa looming in 10... no, 9 days as it's past midnight, oh and I just found out I might need a jab the Dr said today, so the receptionist at the surgery got snotty with me about the late notice. Sod you love. And I haven't made any lists or done any packing or anything and I'm so looking forward to it, but at the same time I can't get motivated to do anything. In any part of my life. I have like 3 weeks worth of washing piled up in my room now. I can hardly see the floor. I'm running out of pants!!! Maybe just one load tomorrow to start me off? Baby steps.

I'm sorry for the rant I'm just in such a bad place at the mo. I just want things to be normal again. This sucks.

And I'm so very tired all the time because my sleeping still destroyed because of those other tablets (Dr agrees on that point, I'm not exagerrating).

    Sigh.

Hope you're all having a good week.

A rather subdued and tearful LC :o

    Sun 18 Mar: £2.95 treats
    Mon 19 Mar: £4.43 treats

    Eeeeek!

After a good week last week - I have slipped off the wagon slightly this week. With the money I saved I spent £8.99 on a game subscription!

Also spent £6.50 on a take away (much needed treat!) and £0.96 on some bread so far! Sooooooo... That means I am in the red at the moment...

    £16.45/£10.00

I still have 2 days for an unexpected windfall to land lol...

LC... Know i don't know you as such - but sounds like you are having a tough time of it all. Just remember... all this will pass - it's just transitory - and one day soon hopefully you will be looking back on this period in your life and seeing how strong you were, and that you came through it all a bit stronger and a bit wiser! Have a great time in SA and recharge in all that lovely sun!!!

Sorry to hear that things are tough at the moment. I hope things start to look brighter soon. I kind of know what you're going through - as you may know my OH is off work long term sick and I have all the stresses and money worries associated with it.
Hope everything has gone well today with your consultation.

Weekly spend wise, I'm still on £0 because I'm too busy to even think about hitting the shops, and I'm on a strict diet for my wedding so I'm not allowed to sneak off eating other lovely foods.

    Evening all

Firstly welcome to zephyr21. Let us know how things go.

LC sorry to hear things are still rather bumpy, I really hope the time away in SA helps. As you said baby steps things will get there in their own time. I hope the Dr's goes well.

Spends for me yesterday and today were:
    • Breakfast & coffee two days = £4
    • Snacks yesterday £2
    • Lunch today £3 (I too soup but just didn't fancy it :o)
    Total £9

    Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

  • Thinking of you LC.

Few NSD's for me so far, didnt end up buying the red bull yesterday, however had to buy some snacks today.
£1.29 spent. popping into town tomorrow to get my nails done, buy couple of birthday presents and to get myself a new top. all budgetted, using a gift card for top, so all planned and budgetted spends. Hopefully no extra treats. :D
