Sorry to bump an old topic...
But I wanted to say a big thank you, I never knew you could claim for an RD not getting a siganture on delivery- like previous posters I wish i'd known this ages ago!
Got a book of 6 1st stamps today as my last RD didn't get a signature (didn't move past "we have your item" online) , but I knew it had been delivered since I got a reply.
Not a good success rate with RD this year, out of 3 sent one got lost, one arrived, signed for and update online, and one didn't get a signature on delivery.0 -

I sent 44 items last month by RD, these were not eBay items. Of those, only 7 failed to get a signature. A bit of a blow as far as I was concerned having taken up SOOLIN's hint about free books of stamps.
So I paid out 44 x 77p i.e £33.88
Thus expecting to get back 7 books of 6 first class stamps ie 7 x 6 x 46p i.e £19.32 or, at the new rates: 7 x 6 x 60p ie £25.20
Last year, I used to reckon on reclaiming 25-30% and that was a real money spinner. Presumable, with the increase in postal charge, RM are attempting to get proper, or at least ensure that there is some sort, of signature........I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0
