Incidentally this bit also annoys me. The combined items cost less to send than what she charged for one?? No wonder she doesn't want to refund, she must be making a fortune on these rip-off postage charges!!

Yes, the cost was a bit less than the cost given for 1 item! I actually expected the items to be packaged slightly differently than they were - by clever packaging she has managed to get them as a large letter - not very protected but luckily they arrived safely on this occasion.

Thanks so much for all the responses guys - I really appreciate all the support because I thought I was the one being awkward here!!! I'm going to give it another couple of days - for her to get home from her weekend and see if she refunds - I know it's highly unlikely now. I will look to leave feedback accordingly but I have done a silly thing and bought the items from an account that I occasionally use to sell things from. I have two live items at the moment due to end on Tuesday and then no more to list for a couple of weeks - do you think I should be worried about 'counter' feedback attacks from her? I will obviouly block her but depends how many other accounts she has.

You could always wait to leave feedback until your two items sell. She'd have to be really petty to be still checking by the time you've listed your next lot in a few weeks.

Trust me there are some petty people out there, I have an account to which I can no longer sell on due to one person who I left negative feedback due to them not combining items when they said they would (I might add there was a good difference in postage.)

This dates back to 2010 and this seller must have me on their favourite seller list as everytime I have tried to list on my e-bay account they come in as a new bidder under various accounts (most with zero feedback or private feedback) all in the same area just to purposly leave negative feedback. E-bay removed the first couple of negatives but as I couldn't prove who it was they won't remove anymore so I had no alternative but to open another account to sell items. I had always had 100% feedback and had the account for 6 years.

A very good reason not to buy and sell on the same account

  • Never ever buy and sell from the same account.

Also, because your seller was so rude, I would definitely not put up with that so I would open a SNAD and send her the items back.....she will have to refund you ALL your money then.

Wow what a bunch of miserable sods we have on here - I'm glad I've never had the misfortune to sell to any of you lot.

Negging her is harsh especially as the item is good and the delivery was very fast... just be patient and wait for the refund that she has promised. Not everybody is perfect and maybe this seller just has other things to worry about.

If you actually used ebay and paypal you would know it is actually quicker to just hit refund and add an amount in paypal than it is to type out a full reply to someone.

Seller is stalling, and whilst it would seem that some buyers will happily lay down and allow sellers to walk all over them, others more experienced with the process can tell if someone is leading them on or not.

Totally agree with Soolin here. So much easier to log into paypal and do a partial refund than !!!!!foot around emailing. The rudeness doesn't help either.

Feedback is about the whole transaction, not just whether the item is any good. If the OP walked into M&S and got spoken to like that when asking for a refund then a complaint would definitely be in order.

I would reply to her very rude email stating that I do not expect to spoken to like that and if I did not have my refund in X days then I would leave neg feedback.
