Good luck on the job front Wingo.Just been to meet DS's employers and other chefs and see around the kitchens etc. Everything seems fine and they have a 15 year old daughter themselves so seem keen to help DS get on. The owner is a chef himself with contacts for other hotels when DS is qualified which could be good.
Nice to see you back bishopsgirl and well done on the Amsterdam book win. Have won 2 cruises to there and still not got going so don't think I am meant to go.
Body Shop win was from the Dailies Becks - WEM came when we were away so maybe I forgot to say. It came really quickly anyway which makes a nice change!
Must go and hang washing out now.

Edit : Hope you have won something nice from Arriva Becks.

Sheils it must be lovely to know your son has got a position training for something he wants to do. When he trained I'm sure they will be loads of good oportunities for him.

    Afternoon all

    Naptime here yay

Was very grrrrr at the shop, I asked for a euro ticket for 2nite and handed over an old ticket to be checked.....girl checked the ticket took couple mins as slow machine, then she went do you have any ID.....FUMING i was but not cos she asked for the ID but cos she has served me MANY times and NEVER once asked before (not sure if someone higher up then her was on another till and they asked her to ask or something) but i was fuming and did say to her maybe she should of asked me the first time she had given me a ticket........I'm 28 in June 10yrs old enough to be playing the lotto grrrrrrrrrrr I've not been asked for ages for ID thought was getting older looking lol

Anyways managed to get to the shops and back without getting wet so that's a plus side

Lady from the Wildlife trust has rung to get info for our memebership, saw on grabbit boards Times had a 50% off deal which makes the yr membership £18 bargin really, loads of places close to us, and will mean cheaper days out in the summer when LO needs to get out and run wild. Plus I'm sure he will love it all the wildlife

No luck on the comp front but hey keep going we shall

    Loads of luck to all

Trouble is Jane we don't remember everyone we serve. Our policy is if someone looks under 25 we have to ask for proof of age if they are buying any age restricted product...yes that include a 12 DVD or 16 lotto ticket. If we get caught out we face a personal fine of £5,000! (plus the sack!) something I know I don't have lying around anywhere so cashiers are getting more and more cautious.

Becki I know I used to work in supermarkets when younger, what got me is the fact she has NEVER asked before, I always talk to her ask about her day ect I'm sure she doesn't forget me lol

It's the fact she's never asked before which got me, I wouldn't care if she asked me every time as it's something I know could happen (i know i don't look 25 but 16 i do lol)

I used to LOVE asking for ID esp the kids i knew wasn't old enough hehe
