The problem has been found, sit tight! We have discovered the cause of this outage is due to a power outage at one of our suppliers. We do not have an ETA on a resolution, but this will hopefully resolved soon. They will need to restore power, and then the engineers (who are already on their way there) will reboot all the required systems. Thanks, Joe

They really do come across as hopeless, don't they?

They do have more than there fair share of issues. We have had them since OH joined them in September, last one being couldn't buy a goodybags bag although in fairness they did refund any calls at higher cost

I know what you mean, but at the moment no-one on giffgaff is getting what they pay for - a mobile 'phone service!

It's not their fault, it's caused by a power outage.

I disagree, are o2 having the same issue? no, therefore its the redundancy design of the giff gaff 'network' that's causing the problem...it is their fault i am afraid...

My OH was with Orange for well over 10 years and whilst I am sure they have had problems it was no where near as bad as giff gaff

All fine here. Been with GG since November, never had a single problem and phone working perfectly today.

Thanks for posting. My phone has been a bit flakey lately (rebooting on and off) so I thought my phone was finally giving up the ghost. No calls or internet for me either.

I've been with GiffGaff about 14 months and never had major issues. There were a few days last year where a lot of people were having network problems (3G) but could still get calls. That's the only blip I've ever had with them.

For the money, they're the best out there, of course others' mileage may vary.
