Probably shouldn't say this, but just because you're over 60 doesn't mean you don't still enjoy a good blast of Genesis, Yes and Dire Straits from time to time
think Mick Jagger
:rotfl: Trust me, I know - my FIL is one of them. And my DH frequently blasts the same tracks. But my former neighbours fit into the more stereotypical mould of the quiet garden tenders.0 -

Genesis? Yes? Dire Straits? They should be so lucky!
I got my tinnitus from watching the Who too many times. It was worth it.
To name just a few, my collection includes Led Zep, Jimi H and the White Stripes.....
There again, Philip Glass has a knack of getting under some people's skins. Living through the wall from him could conceivably push the neighbours over the edge:

Hah, I'll know exactly what to do should I ever wish to wreak a terrrible revenge on my prospective neighbours then, as I love Philip Glass. Oh, and forgot to mention Queen, Led Zep ...0 -

Our last house - a gorgeous detached period property, but a terrible mistake in choice of overall location, don't ask- was situated slap bang in the middle of an estate full of bungalows that was a popular destination for retirees. We assumed it would be a quiet area, but our 60+ next door neighbour was a pub entertainer and spent his spare time rehearsing (loudly!!!) in his garage........wouldn't have been so bad if it was rock, but no - he favoured awful country & western type stuff
Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Further out than London zone 4
Studio
Unmortgageable (concrete high rise, for example)
Over budget
If I added any more, I'd be homeless, so it's just as well I could live with or change anything else, for the right price. Worrying about north facing gardens, or no bath when there's room to put one in yourself, or the wrong kind of parking seems like a different world to me!Saving for deposit: Finished! :j
House buying: Finished!
Next task: Lots and lots of DIY0
