    As per bottom of the email they sent out regarding price changes:

    If you do not wish to be bound by these changes you can cancel your contract with us without penalty. The process to be followed is set out in our terms and conditions at virginmedia.com/legalstuff
    Thanks. The problem is, I don't know when I got the letter saying about the price increases so I don't know when the 30 days is up.

    The terms say:
    If we and/or Virgin Media Payments:
    a. increase our respective charges under this agreement;
    b. make significant changes to the services so the services you are entitled to receive in return for the charges you pay are significantly altered or reduced; or
    c. make significant changes to the terms and conditions of this agreement (including the other legal stuff),

    you may cancel those services affected without penalty by giving us and/or Virgin Media Payments (as applicable) at least 30 days' notice. Such notice must be given within 30 days of the increase in charges or changes to the services or this agreement being notified to you.

    Where's that in the terms? It just says I must provide 30 days notice.

    You must provide 30 days notice in normal circumstances, but this is not a normal termination of contract scenario. Because you are disconnecting due to the price rise, the price rise begins on the 1st of April - therefore as you do not agree to the price rise you wouldn't be entitled to services charged at that fee.

    Virgin may disconnect you before the 1st of April or they may continue your existing charge to cover the notice period - they only have to provide services up to the point you pay, so if the final bill ends on the 31st of March then your services would end from this point.

    My 30 days notice point is today, that is 30 days from the day they notified me of the change.

    My email came in on Feb 28th so in theory you should have received yours around the same time.

    My email was the 3rd of February, when I called to disconnect they informed me on the phone my last day to do so was the 16th of March...go figure.

    Nice one, they sent me a invoice for Aprils' month yet the equipment removal is on the 30 march, but copied the transcript saying they'll remove the invoice. So we'll see how they go
