With a SE facing system that's never going to happen if it's foggy until lunchtime! The Sun had about passed over by the time it burnt the fog off today. :(
I know the feeling, I get the same every day with a SSW facing system. Today however, inverter maxed at 1.778 kW; well down on the summer max. Managed to do 3.72 O's ........Guess 'every dog has its day' where is that bleeding bone....Cos I wont get the spoon...smiley-laughing021.gif .....coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Red pygmy export bulb well tested today. A thrilling day for a relative newcomer. System switched on at 07:15 and off at 17:15.

11,900 Wh / 3,780 Wp = 3.15 Os. Just 3,300 Wh diverted to immersion so household usage is looking good. Mrs Sterling was out with the horses and missed all of the action.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

    Hi there, All
14.95 kW/h today, which comes out at 4.5 Os on the sunny south coast.
I wonder if there's a silver spoon available for the first Hawaii of the year.
    Just a thought....

Forgot to post a couple of weeks ago with figures for the 2nd year on both my 3.92kw systems.

    System 1 - 3600 KWH (was 3300 in Year 1)
    System 2 - 3300 KWH (was 3100 in Year 1)

Really happy with that! Still not yet worked out why 1 does so much more than the other but happy with those figures. By the end June I think I'll recovered the the cost of 1 of the systems. Not a bad return for 2 years and 5 months!

Both systems should have paid for themselves within 5 years!

It's now exactly 3 years since I had my 2 * 3.92kw systems installed on mine and sisters house next door.

    System 1 - 10527.96kw (Avg. 3510kw/yr)
    System 2 - 9637.56kw (Avg. 3210kw/yr)

Really happy with the performance of the systems. Still not sure why there's a difference between them as theirs virtually no difference (location/shading etc).

Still on target for both systems to be paid for within 5 yrs or so!

    Great return on £7k/system investment.
