Hi all, got a question regarding PVGIS.
What`s the difference between Climate- SAF PVGIS and Classic PVGIS? Seems like everyone has a prefernce of which one to use.
Also any simple rule of thumb to work out Estimated system losses? I`ve just been leaving mine at 14%.
    Cheers.

Just go for the one that makes you look as if you are doing the better...Called the 'feel good factor'....smiley-laughing021.gif

    3.72 O's today what a.......smiley-angry023.gif day. coffee.gif

Just in case anyone missed this; the ideal 'Anorak' for this thread... http://wattson.energyhive.com/dashboard/demo :D

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

I'd forgotten about the rate change for export... what's it at now?
(Will have to update my spreadsheet calcs to take that into account.

    [Edit: 4.77p export]

Oh, wait, I'm not eligible for that until next April, am I, as I only had mine fitted at the end of Feb this year.

I got my system fitted at end of Feb aswell, I was under the impression we still got the increase in export rate but wouldn`t get any increase on the 14.9p until next April....maybe somebody on here can clear this up for me?
    Thanks
3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun
  • 1kWh yesterday! Well I suppose it could have been 1.9kWh as the Current Cost does not show decimal units.

Not expecting it to be better today as still shrouded in thick fog...!

    Hiya T, you getting lonely?

I scraped an O with 5.8kWh. Rotten weather. Thunderstorm kicked in just when the forecast claimed it should get sunny.

Glass half full - panels are nice and clean.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.
