Mart.
Why was it reversing Martyn? How are you hoping to resolve it? Surely u`ll have lost out on units generated.....or will you have to prove to your FiT provider what you`ve generated some how?3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -
Hi all, got a question regarding PVGIS.
What`s the difference between Climate- SAF PVGIS and Classic PVGIS? Seems like everyone has a prefernce of which one to use.
Also any simple rule of thumb to work out Estimated system losses? I`ve just been leaving mine at 14%.
Cheers.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -

Hiya shavy. I've just left mine at the 14% default, but that figure may be a bit high these days (or so I've been told). I believe classic just took account of location, and corresponding solar levels, but climate also takes account of localised weather related factors, so is quite a bit more accurate. However, for some the difference between the two may not be great.
My TGM fault turned out to be a date specific issue, that is not allowed (under playground rules) to persist after noon on this day. Sorry!

Cheers for reply, I`ll stick with the Climate estimate as a guide.
First full month completed for me, 290 kWh generated (PVGIS estimated 304) although I did lose one (sunny!) day due to my `1 string` over voltage issue and a couple of hours the following (sunny!) day as the installer rectified the fault! Safe to say I`d have hit the target otherwise
3.3 O`s yesterday. Looking like a terrible start to April for me today.3.975 kWp System, South facing, 21 degree pitch, 15 x Canadian Solar Elps, Samil Inverter, location NE Scotland (Fraserburgh) Bring on the Sun :beer:0 -
Fantastic March for us, best since we had our panels in 2011.
332kWh for the month which equates to 111 Os for the month.

My first complete week and a total of 56kWh so an average of 8 per day. The generation rate certainly runs away when the mist clears! I wasn't around at the weekend to use all that lovely free stuff unfortunately but there's always next weekend.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Ouch.......:rotfl:.....priceless
Still got a few watts running through the systems and knocked up an impressive 22.5kWh(3.46 O's) despite thick cloud cover until just after 10am. Excellent start to April.

I've just totalled up the first three months of 2014, and in spite of all the rain, have come in at 52% above PvGIS (classic), and over 60% above the same period last year. [121 Os in March.] I hope everyone else has had a similarly productive quarter!
Oh, and being here has reminded me that the rate goes up today...
..so Cheers, everyone!O G  Somewhere on the South Downs

I'd forgotten about the rate change for export... what's it at now?
(Will have to update my spreadsheet calcs to take that into account.
[Edit: 4.77p export]
Oh, wait, I'm not eligible for that until next April, am I, as I only had mine fitted at the end of Feb this year.4kWp system (Feb 2014) : 1.5 SW, 2.5 NE (16x Bisol BMO/250, Aurora Power-One UNO PVI-3.6 Inverter : pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=299350 -
