Mine just measured current flow so Martin is correct when the sun is shining turn on your kettle and watch the number go down..... then throw the meter away LOL

Energy Monitor I had once from E-On was in the bin within three days.....6 kW being used on stand by, they were having a larff. 'Buy Cheap; buy TWICE'. (mind you, it was a free-bee, no wonder) If you are looking for something that works, without being an expensive 'smart meter' look at:- http://www.diykyoto.com/store/assets/0000/1107/Energeno_Product_Catalogue_UK_web.pdf I have used Wattson and Optiplug for some time now, very pleased. If I had an immersion heater, I would go for the Optimmersion, without doubt.

    Back to the Office:- 2.72 O's today.....coffee.gif

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

  • Forgot to post a couple of weeks ago with figures for the 2nd year on both my 3.92kw systems.

    System 1 - 3600 KWH (was 3300 in Year 1)
    System 2 - 3300 KWH (was 3100 in Year 1)

Really happy with that! Still not yet worked out why 1 does so much more than the other but happy with those figures. By the end June I think I'll recovered the the cost of 1 of the systems. Not a bad return for 2 years and 5 months!

Both systems should have paid for themselves within 5 years!

Hiya T. I 'only' have 2 TGM's, so would have to read the inverters on the ESE systems. My 12 steps sponsor would be disappointed if I went back to checking the individual inverter readings each day!!!

Very good end to week 3 with approx 1.75 O's yesterday and today, so week 3 closes with me just a smidge over target so far. Fingers crossed for a 100% month.

WNW now seeing the sun, so roughly 8 months good :) and 4 months bad :(

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.
