Please don't worry if this lark doesn't make much sense at the moment, just keep asking (and chatting) you'll be serious PV'ers by the summer.
Making lots of assumptions, but if main roof is SSW, then 'afternoon' roof should be WNW. If so, then welcome to the club (Tunnel joined last week). It's quite exclusiveDoesn't work very well at this time of year, but great for teatime consumption in the summer, especially when we go back to BST from GMT.
Sounds like your gen will be decent from mid morning and peak around early afternoon, so when possible (and as always, depending on weather) try to aim to run the big stuff (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer etc) to match. Becomes intuitive/instinctive after a while.
As mentioned before though, as daytime users with lots of 'stuff' running, it'll simply tick along in the background reducing your consumption - without you really doing anything.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

When the numbers are duplicated, I was away from home, not able to read the generation meter, I have averaged the result over the missing readings.
