    Have you moved recently ?

Whatever the forecasters have told you, there's absolutely no chance of anyone in the UK getting the same sort of weather for 30 consecutive days !

Possibly parts of Arabian Peninsula or maybe even N Africa might offer that.

I bet Summer 1976 had two months of similar (endless) sunshine ?!

    Eng&Wales Sunshine: 748.4hrs

Here are some one month records:

Sunshine hours: Highest monthly sunshine records

But even Eastbourne didn't rate a mention HERE as being one of the few towns to have more than 27 rainless days and there was only one place (Bath) with more than 30 days.

Checked my 2 meters this evening and I've recorded 130kWh between the pair over the past 10 days, just above pvgis estimates between the 2. I'll take that anytime while the forecasters keep getting it wrong(supposed to be sunny yesterday and today and was nowt like)

Interestingly Tunbridge Wells scores the greatest excess of sunshine over average for the month - but perhaps it is normally cloudier than Eastbourne.
Summer seems to have been 29 days of sunshine followed by a thunderstorm.

June, July and August 1976 are similar and at 150% of normal sunshine for many places away from the west of the country.

Then the government appointed a minister for drought and the heavens opened.

By October some places were enduring 50% of normal sunshine and 200% of normal rainfall.

At least I no longer had to creep out at night to protect my investment of £150 (after volume discount) of trees and shrubs in my "green field" new garden.
