Depending on how long you'll be cooking on the stove, it might be cheaper to get one which will work with a refillable/exchangeable bottle from a petrol station, but they're really expensive to buy the first bottle, so look around for someone selling one or giving one away. Alternatively, try the poundshops ... I'm sure that someone told me that one of them sells camping equipment recently (B&M ?)... caravan suppliers usually have a shop attached which carry canisters, so do Millets & Blacks, Argos, Halfords etc ....

Hiya Oscar, you seem to be getting a lot of Hawaii's (5 Os) lately, nice. Bit too much to ask from my set-up other than exceptional days. But a nice 19.9 (3.49 Os) for me yesterday. Hopefully 2 nice days ahead.

Just been reading the BBC's monthly outlook, why is it always the south, why can't the high pressure build a bit further north for a change and send the rain down south, they're always moaning they are short on rainfall:rotfl:
4.5 O's today, plodding on nicely it is
Monday 12 August—Sunday 18 August
Pressure builds to settle southern Britain.
Whilst the headline may offer encouragement to those in that area, it's
telling in what it doesn't say. Lower pressure will sit just to the north of the
British Isles, and the resultant westerly airstream will bring a mix of rain,
sunny spells and showers, especially into northern and western parts.
Rainfall and temperature forecasts will err towards the disappointing whilst
sunnier periods will help to keep those stats closer to the seasonal norm.
Monday 19 August—Sunday 1 September
Signs of a more dominant high for southern Britain
High pressure may well exert a greater influence across more of southern
Britain, offering the hope of above average sunshine amounts for both southwest
England and southern Wales. Other parts should fare well too. There is also a
signal for some warmth for Northern Ireland, northeast England and eastern
Scotland. Time will tell.2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -

Sorry, I've been writing a lot of incoherent stuff recently, but I blame 7 years abroad! Yes, I meant a single induction hob could be a useful interim measure: it's just that I try and avoid Amazon and some of the other suppliers seemed out of stock. Butane cyclinders are easy enough to source (Wilko, Dyas) but you do get a look to see if you are under 25...0 -
