Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

July 2013 has been the best generation month to date beating the previous best of May 2011, and brings year to date generation back on PVGIS Climate target following the disastrous start to the year in the first quarter.

Best month ever....year to date (since install date 08/02) is 2393kw.....and there's 6 months left.....hopefully Aug-Oct can be something close to 1000kw and then there won't be much after that.
Aug-Oct last year we managed 1002kWh. Ours is a slightly bigger system but far too shallow for that time of year so your 1000 sounds a pretty conservative guess.
In Nov-Jan we managed another 250 - which may be better than you expected.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
July has been the best month ever - 407kWh on system 1. This beats the previous best of 351kWh in July 2010. System 2 also had best month ever and produced 431kWh.

I'm happy too. I've got a roof back on, the panels are back up and working, and I've had my best month ever, even with 3 days missing!4kWp, Panels: 16 Hyundai HIS250MG, Inverter: SMA Sunny Boy 4000TLLocation: Bedford, Roof: South East facing, 20 degree pitch20kWh Pylontech US5000 batteries, Lux AC inverter,Skoda Enyaq iV80, TADO Central Heating control0

Even I'm not completely disappointed with zero output so far this month
This morning has been pretty gloomy so far (amazingly: just as predicted !) and my DNO's team decided it was easier to connect their generator to our side of the meter than it was to theirs so at least we're getting some free electricity even if we're not generating any :TNE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

July 2013 exceeded July 2012 generation by 22% and July 2011 by 25%
But May 2011 still remains unbeaten in terms of kWh generated
As a direct comparison here - July '13 beat '12 by 29% and '11 by 18% .... May 2011 stands in 6th place in performance terms.

... it's not just the regional difference which are interesting ... we're somewhere between SW & WSW and have pretty significant generation differences to a SE system just a few miles away, there's also a system which is similar orientation to ours about 10 miles away, but has probably somewhere near 100m elevation clear-sky advantage over us on misty days ..

So whereas on your side of the country you have had the best generation in June and July, it has been a bit more random here :think:2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Had I had panels in May 2011, I'm sure that would have been top.2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0
