Generation figures for June up to now, system 1 117Kw system 2 189Kw export 249Kw.
2.35Kw and 3.75kw both using Ying li panels with sunny boy inverter for smaller system and fronius inverter for larger. Roof facing south not sure of pitch0 -
I don't normally do 'instantaneous' peaks but just happened to be sitting here at (true) Noon to spot a 4.001Kw.
It isn't btw really 'instantaneous' as it didn't change at all for 2 mins whereas the 5m average that included it was only 3.6Kwh
Today won't be a 'record' but should be better than than last few days and far better than weather forecasters have led me to expect.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
( i have a export meter fitted).
Tell us, how did you manage to get an export meter fitted? I have always heard that most times having generation and export meters are a no no.:)2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Hi just asked my supplier S&SE for one, maybe i was lucky, but no problems with having 2 generation meters and 1 import/export meter as far as i am aware.0

No problem whatsoever; I cannot get my supplier to even fit a 'smart meter'. At least I could then check usage against export. Apparently, according to E-On, their 'smart meters' cannot cope with Solar Panel input, they have not got the technology in them to cope (yea yea yea).:rotfl:2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. Evening, can I ask, do you have to pay a rental for the export meter. Since most PV'ers export more than 50% (60% approx for myself) it would be beneficial to have one. But I'd heard that there might be a monthly fee? Cheers.

Hi All
Today I was in London, came back about 8.30pm. The figure for today was 8.319

Another record breaking day on the Solar Front; 8.5kWh another £4 squid, precisely

From what I have gleaned about export meters; most of the Power Co. want to charge between £100 & £200 to fit them, or tell you to go back to your installer to have one fitted. The installers then tell you to go back to your FIT supplier. So some install free or £50, the rest charge a fortune or tell you to go and ask somebody else. Is it even legal for an independent company to play with the mains cables? How much more than 50% would you have to export to make the £50 worth it?0 -

The short answer is a lot. Currently for generation, if you generate 100kWh = £1.60p. (deemed that you use 50%)
If you used 75kW of the 100kW you would get 0.80p for generation.
If you only used 25kW and exported the other 75kW you would get £2.40p. (this use is more likely) If you had an export meter and exported all of the 100kW and used none, (no fridges, freezer, and nothing on standby) = £3.20p (will never happen)
So the upshot being we currently get £1.60p. irrespective of what we use of the 100kW. If you could show(via a meter) that you only use 25kW and export the 75kW you would end up better off by - 80p per 100kW generated. So you would have to generate 6,250kW to cover your £50.00.:rotfl:For me that's about 3 years later.:rotfl:2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
