2 O's = Bond, As in 007
3 O's = TyphOOO
4 O's = Winks, 40 winks
5 O's = Hawaii, Hawaii 5 O
6 O's = Maiden, 6 balls in an over
7 O's = Heaven, in 7th Heaven
8 O's = Potato's 8 O's sounds like Potatoes!
This is what we came up with a few years back.
Oscargrouch came up with names upto Hawaii. I added Maiden, Heaven, Potato.
Live in Yorkshire. Only been here 23 years so occasionally speak with a bit of an accent.2 -
Thanks for sharing the list.Has anyone ever recorded a Potato (8 O's)?I have a near ideal south facing array, and managed 7.4 O's this week. I have a 3.645kWp array on a 3kW inverter, so I'm guessing if that were on an efficient 3.68kW inverter, we may have been into potato territory? Our green credentials: 12kW Samsung ASHP for heating, 7.2kWp Solar (South facing), Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kWh), Net exporter4

Not sure, but it becomes easier the further south you go. If I picked up my house and plonked it as far south as I can. 220 miles as the crow flies. Brighton area, my PVGIS would increase by around 20%.NedS said:Thanks for sharing the list.Has anyone ever recorded a Potato (8 O's)?I have a near ideal south facing array, and managed 7.4 O's this week. Not sure that would make a Tato from my best Heaven, but you never know.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds5 -
Being in Mid Wales, not famed for its sunshine, I have been surprised to get into Heaven territory quite a number of times. The array was only installed last November, so they haven't seen a mid-summer, yet. I can imagine scraping a potato in flaming June, because my roof pitch is only 25 degrees, so I'm sure I've not been getting maximum output with the poor angle of incidence. Fingers crossed.
A Maiden.4 today, as rain has stopped play early.5 -
Another chart looking like a cross section of the Alps.

A reasonable 5.33 O's.
Will hopefully hit May's PVGIS total tomorrow, especially if we get a bit of the forecast early morning rain and the panels are cleared of the nasty orange dust.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
