    Today - 4.12 O's

    Better than April 2012 - 17.96 O's.:)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

    20 kWh today (£9.69)

Surprising considering the amount of cloud.

Nice end to the month, and looking good for next few days too. :)

How would an ordinary builder understand this lingo apart from the designers and sellers.

More education on this topic is needed

Good for you, go for it. Let me know if I can help, but a good starting point might be this thread:-

Not sure why an 'ordinary builder' would need to understand it any better than an 'ordinary plumber' , 'ordinary butcher' or even an 'ordinary nuclear physicist'.

It may well seem a little complex to anyone not used to the subjects but it doesn't need any special ability to understand it. The average twelve year old ought to be able to follow the simple maths & touch of physics used (or at least all the kids in my class when I was 12 would have been able to; perhaps I'm not quite so confident of modern youth :D )

Reasonable month for April. PVGIS Climate suggests 417kWh on my 4kWp system, (390 for classic) got 437.2kWh or 109.3 O's. Now need some warmth to rescue the veg patch!

Funny you should say that! I did spend 5 mins looking at all the posts peppered around, but they seemed genuine (odd! but genuine), or at least human this time (can't believe I got caught last time :o).

Anyways, if in doubt, take the opportunity to 'advertise' the FAQ thread, as people often seem to miss it.

Thought for the day - does that mean I'm spamming my own thread? Need to have a thunk about that one, I've just confused myself. :(
