    Another 'grey day' was forecast.

I hesitate to say forecasters were 'accurate' - if you consistently give the same forecast for 5 days, eventually it will be true(ish) - but there was quite a lot of cloud about most of the day so they'd probably claim some credit.

But in spite of that our meter still clocked up another 12.86 - which is in fact pretty near to the average daily figure predicted by pvgis for April. We were above 2kW pretty well most of time between 11am & 3pm and even had a few 'spikes' over 3kW

    Another 'grey day forecast'.

Sun popped out @9:30am and keeps showing itself through gaps in clouds. We've peaked (so far) @2.96kW and have generated 10kW by Noon (1:07 pm BST here or a few minutes either way elsewhere for those who slept through geography classes)

Afternoon was much the same with the cloud perhaps not quite so thin & the sunny intervals shorter but final generation figure for day was 16.4 (well above pvgis expectations).

In first ten days of April we've generated 147.7 kWh which if representative of whole month would suggest 443 kWh for whole month (indeed, I think last twenty days ought to have a better average than first ten). Pvgis predicts 353(old) or 381(new) so I could be nudging 30% 'excess generation'.

Weather forecasts for tomorrow/Friday are suggesting we should see some rain. As usual, opinions on exactly how much vary. Wearing my WC flusher's hat I could do with a reasonable downpour to set us up for the next six weeks of sunny drought conditions

Not been on for a couple of days as i'm up to the neck with work. Still kept an eye on my O's though, 3 yesterday and another 3.75 today.
Strange weather patterns we're having though, Come to the conclusion that Erics old school style of looking out the window is better than any of these paid forecasters give. Its been glorious hazy sunshine almost all day in Sheffield, not the thick grey cloud that was expected:T

Long may it continue(panels are expecting a wash down tonight....we will see)
    2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)

I always liked the weather report on the Big Breakfast, they'd just flash up a map of Britain with those stick on sun's clouds etc. It would be there just long enough for you to focus on your place and note the picture. Look out the window, and it was always correct.

Then it dawned on me that they never said it was a forecast, just 'the weather in your area'.

Remember those ads for new telly's about 30 years ago, 'look how good this picture is' and we'd look and think, 'yep that's a great picture', then one day we realised we were looking at it on our tv!

Right, back to gen, being lazy, about 1 O yesterday, and about 2 O's today.
